Hello, I just watched your video, and I must say-your content is fantastic! It’s refreshing to see the quality of work you’re putting in. Keep it up! That said, I noticed something that might be holding your channel back. While your content is great, it seems like TH-cam isn’t recommending your videos, and they’re not reaching the audience they deserve. This could be due to a lack of proper SEO optimization. Optimizing your videos with proper SEO strategies can significantly improve their ranking, drive higher traffic, and increase audience engagement. I’m a professional TH-cam SEO consultant with years of experience helping creators like you grow their channels. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to assist you in optimizing your channel and videos to achieve better results. Let me know if you’d like to discuss this further. I’d love to help you unlock the full potential of your channel!
I wonder where to contact an agent 🤔
Just wanted to let you know I've been watching your videos since last audition season and this year (my third year of auditioning) I got my first RADA recall! Thank you so much for your videos and free resources on your website, they've been so helpful, not just in improving my audition technique but also in changing my whole attitude and approach. I'm having so much fun with auditions this year, regardless of the outcome :)
WOO HOO! RADA recall! Massive congratulations! That is a huge achievement and you should be super proud of yourself. You are so so welcome. I'm really glad you've found everything so useful!
Hi, thanks for this:) with Scott’s speech from ‘love steals us from loneliness’ I timed it and it was longer than 2 minutes. Would you recommend shortening it from the bottom or cutting parts off and still making it flow?
Great question. I'd say if it's only over by about 15 seconds or so then don't worry about it. If its getting into the realms of 45 seconds then consider cutting out thoughts and sentences that you could afford to loose. Remember never to cut massive chunks because the story can feel like it jumping too drastically and you can loose the heart of the speech.
been struggling with a whole lot of words but no idea how to put them together, this video was so helpful, thank you so much
Redirection!! :)
Currently preparing for my third year of auditioning for drama schools, I find your videos so helpful to keep me inspired and carry on working hard. Thanks so much for all of these :)
that was very helpful thank you so much!!
Redirection ! Please 🙂
Good information out there, thank you. I could not get the breakdown sheet though, it says the link is broken.
Your TH-cam video content is so good. However the video does not get many views. Because your TH-cam channel has some problems. Do you want to know about the problems?
📢 Why do TH-cam video SEO or what are the benefits of doing SEO? .......... 👉 SEO that means (search engine optimization)...... 📢 ANSWER:- When you want to earn from TH-cam through content creation, the prerequisite for earning is that the video must go viral. And there are many ways to go viral, the most effective way is to spread your video around the world through SEO.
I'm applying for drama school atm. When I was a lot younger, I was a child actor at the RSC for a season. This was obviously more than five years ago, but at the same time it was a pretty big production and genuinely taught me a lot and I think it does show that I have genuine theatre experience. Is this something to write about or is it not relevant?
This was so good
Facts put together beautifully
For a long time reading the script for class was dreadful. Doing the real work, was just that.. work. In the last month I broke through with some of my acting and process.. now I read script for fun because I see the immense value in it. Slightly embarrassing to admit, yes, but when the work has now changed to fun.. what a shift!
Is that a naruto costume?
Very helpful! Thanks
I actually don't know. Which one do you think?
What do you think about using the same monologue if it has worked really well for you? I’m haven’t applied to drama school but I’m applying for a different course.
Thank you so much for this! Writing my first draft now and the 11 minutes of this video has truely helped more than the hour or so explanations from school assemblies
Aw thanks so much! Glad its helping get that personal statement done!
Hello I'm new to your channel I'm a student in Baltimore County Community College " CCBC" in my hometown Baltimore Maryland. My major is theatre ; I'm almost a theatre major which is exciting. I need to know this
About the experience part of the statement, im about to finish sixth form and have only taken a class for drama and took it in secondary school but have been practicing my skills in other means such as monologues or pieces with friends. Is there anything I can do to make up for that in the statement? I plan on applying to an undergraduate course and have looked ar multiple acting universities.
Just by saying that you've been rehearsing and exploring text with friends in the run up to auditions is a really good indication of your passion and dedication to being an actor. Not everyone will have loads of experience and that is ok. Think of your personal statement as prompts for the audition panel to ask questions and have a discussion with you during the interview stage. The personal statement isn't going to be the thing that gets you into drama school, your performance will.
Thanks for the video, are you Irish?
Scottish!
Thanks! 💕
You are beautiful.
Really enjoyed this discussion. Lots of good points! I would definitely agree with the idea of going into the audition with a sense of detachment, and not fearing rejection. I always have this motto ‘let the universe come to you’. Doesn’t mean don’t try or do the work or give it your all; but it’s funny how when you are slightly detached that is when you get what you most want. Thanks again, Arthur
Hi. I know exactly what you mean Louise. I got rejected from American Idol last year. I'm auditioning again this year.
The most important video for any actor to watch.
Thats really kind. Thank you.
thx
I got rejected on my first audition last fall...I am re-auditioning spring 2025

Also really appreciate this video, thinking of applying to drama school and I’m quite reluctant to practice in front of family and friends 😅

Very good lecture thanks very much

Sup bitches !!?
I have a question. I want to apply for schoolarships yet, for the tapes that I have to present. Do they have to be monologes or could they be short films. Also, have you considered (or already done) a video for ppl qho want to apply for schoolarships ro dramma school?
Hey! Usually if you're sending in an application for something they will give you instruction about whether they want a monologue or short film. Make sure to read the instructions fully and if you have doubts then contact them directly. I haven't thought about doing a video about applying for scholarships as thats not really something I know very much about sadly.
You mentioned that they might not take people who are too young. I’m 36 and applying for pretty much every drama school for the 2025 intake. I’m just worried that I’m too old and that they’ll over look me because of my age (even though they say there’s no upper age limit on all their websites). Do you have any advice for older students wanting to get in? Is it actually possible or am I giving myself false hope?
Never be discouraged on being a more mature student - if the talent, ability and work ethic are there, age is but a number. I've had students in the same age bracket and they can be a joy to work with. The benefits of training and graduating a little older is that you will be in a completely different casting bracket to the people you train alongside and everyone else in the country that is graduating at the same time - you have an edge and a USP, lean into it. Consider the fact that you will be spending 3 years with a cohort who will likely be younger than you and although the school will have no issue with that at all, you may feel that connecting with a group who are at a different stage in life might be something to think about.
@@lmccoachinguk Thank you for taking the time to fully respond to me, that's super kind of you! I managed to get in touch with most of the big drama schools in London, and they pretty much said the same thing as you. Guildhall has someone in their BA at the age of 33, and another guy who graduated last year at the age of 43, it's incredible. I love that they're so open to older students. I look at it from the perspective that we're all there to train and learn together, regardless of age. Plus, it adds to the overall dynamic of each performance. I don't mind that they'd be younger than me, I always go into things with an open mind because we all come from different walks of life. Thank you again! :)
Hey, I just found you:D Could you make/recommend content (watchable or readable) for international students wanting to go to an acting uni in the uk? I’ve been on most of the great schools sites but my head spins and I don’t know if I’m missing something or not
Hey! I'll definitely look into doing a video on applying as an international student.
Thanks a lot! Appreciate your work:D

Thank you for the interview! it's actually interesting to compare the differences between this and maybe some schools in north america, where for instance i've heard of students asking sometimes personal questions to the panel during the Q&A portion of the final callbacks and still getting accepted, and other things that kind of "break the rules". thank you:)
Honestly, never happened to me.
Had to do this with my brother 😭
