Trail tech fan kit for 2024 BTI husqvarna TE300 and KTM XCW300
มุมมอง 6453 หลายเดือนก่อน
Since I couldn’t find one - I made one. Your 2024 models TBI had ECU that controlled the wiring for the fan with a predetermined temp, to use the Trail Tech digit fan kit and adjust the temp yourself you need to run the wiring directly to the battery. This video shows how to remove the seat, the gas tank the radiators , draining and refilling the coolant and installing the fan plus wiring. Hope...

Some models in the mid 2000’s had a weird oil system for the bearing which in order to keep it from having a failed bearing you need to replace oil. I had a failed bearing so I decided to take all wheels out, inspect, clean and grease them all. Add new oil and wrap it up. On this video I share what I’ve done because I couldn’t find anything about this online. This is a 2004 Malibu Wakesetter 21...

Did anything leak out while installing the power kit?
@@mrmartlet8049 nothing
Won't this make ur battery go dead when parked up or not getting used tho I seen ktm have a switch you can connect to turn it off when bike not been used
@@garyweir78 the fan wouldn’t take power when off - the fan screen is operated by an individual battery and does not take anything from the bike’s battery
@@nivdoron1439 ok thank you very much for that information very help full so all I need is fan and the wire that goes from fan to battery
Hello, this is a message from Japan! Will grease not be applied to the plug?
@@waao1460 hi Konichiwa! Which plug in particular are you referring to?
@@nivdoron1439 Thank you for your reply (*^^) *) Konichiwa! Why don't you apply heat-resistant grease to the spark plug attached to the engine so that it doesn't harden with heat?
Good choice m8, iv picked up brand new 23 heritage 300 & heaps stoked. Big ups from Australia 🤜🏼🇺🇸🇦🇺🤛🏼
DID Wheels and protaper bars are better on the Husky as well. KTM has Chinese wheels from Giant and own brand bars.
All bend just as easily 😎
Thanks for the video, I’m on the fence on which bike to buy. I found a good deal on an out going 2024 Husky TE300 Just not sure about the linkage an the non-Brebo brakes.
@@smg5960 I don’t have any issues with the non Brebo brakes - and the linkage works like magic!
Nice video. one thing, the chain adjustment on the new TBI linkage bikes calls for waay more than what we were used to before. no more 3 finger rule. should be up around 62mm+ or chain will bind on full rear shock compression.
That chain seems a bit tight. Manual calls for 55-58 mm or free play
@@Douknowgrgg you’re right 55-58mm for 2024 both KTM and Husqvarna, will double check the conversion to fingers count :)
Next time I will cover the steering bearing
I just installed the TrailTech fan , now I have to do this extra step. I wish it was mentioned by TrailTech somewhere. Honestly, I would have chosen the KTM Powerparts fan, which is true plug-and-play. I think I just figured out why TrailTech doesn’t mention it.
If you connect it directly (plug and play) it will kick in on 190 F
Great video!
Thank you :)
Nice video, you definitely surprised that mtb guy and the dog walker. Lol, are they dual use trails?
Great video, thank you! I need to do the same to my bike. 👍🏼
Looks like an awesome time. Can’t wait to hear all about it.
As a 6feet 5.5. Guy, the KTM would be a no brainer for me , 1. Taller bike 2. Pds means less to none maintenance for cleaning bearings. 3.Brembos 4. + 0.5 liters of fuel I
Tend to agree - I service my linkage myself (just made a video for it) and I like the behavior of it on higher speed. Plus I like to have the map switch stock which the KTM didn’t, on the fuel I didn’t check so I don’t know, I saw a kit that redirects the fuel intake to that ‘dead space’ on the left chamber to consume all of it - I never had a gas problem though. Agree on the Brembos
@@nivdoron1439Hey, could you tell me the Website which sells this fuel pump kit?
@@fabianneuhauser4772 taco moto made one: th-cam.com/video/mhR6GdC7hro/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
That’s a huge job. Great work.
Thanks! It was a pretty fair size job
Did you change out the power valve spring, or are you running the middle power spring? It makes a huge difference.
I’m 100% stock for now
It’s a ‘24 with electronic power valve. I don’t think you can modify the pv spring, that was with the carb bikes.
That terrain and areas look perfect for riding adventure bikes. Glad to see you riding the Norden and making her bark.
I am still waiting for your visit
Any specific complaints?
honestly none - so far the bike performs well - suspensions are amazing stock and just did my first race two weeks ago (it is very durable bike haha)
Thank you. How does it handle whoops and large hits? I assume better than the KTM PDS shock? Any idea on how many miles you can get with stock tank? Thanks!
Miles are not ‘miles’ on any type of ride but usually I need to refuel after about 2-3 engine hours on avg ride. There is a kit to move the fuel pump suction to the bottom left side to use all the tank as the light turns on early on stock. The link has better behavior around whoops and fast changing terrain- also better on high speed turns. I don’t do motocross with it but had a few jumps. I am still on standard setup of the suspensions and I am happy with what I do - might make the front rebound slightly faster just for the technical parts.
Cool. I'm hoping to get 40-50 miles ride time without running out
I went with the Tx 300 and mix gas ⛽️ myself and it’s not air forks and I have fx 350 both 2024 and wired in the stock headlight and tail light.. I miss the dashboard speedo
it is more aggressive mapped - i would hate doing hard enduro with the TX
Tx and fx have 2 maps
Angle camera up more so that we see more of the trail and less of your knees. Looks like you had a good ride.
Brian Pope haha! True! I made another one yesterday with the better angle BUT the headphones were on the frame the whole time haha... I will make a proper one and upload it again (also try to cut a few seconds off)
@@nivdoron1439 I have learned straight and pedaling is boring for everybody except the person doing the video. Focus on the variations of the trail, keep vids as short as you can.
