Enactments are the heart beat of couples therapy. It's where all the action is, and therefore where the fear is - for both clients and therapists.

Why would anyone become a couples therapist. They can't help anyone. And this stupid conversation proves it. You don't see any couples. Biggest scams ever. They s😊ay they've seen then . And basically wasted the couples money and time. With nothing to show for it. What a joke. Well change and get an occupation where you serve za purpose. She hasn't seen a lot of cicles because she hasn't had a lot of couples. An other stupid over analylzation.

I am looking for something to change, but I am working on myself. If I don't see strong signs of honesty, loyalty, and a capability to stand up for me and our relationship, then I'll eventually take my changes elsewhere.

I think that there is a lot of childhood trauma played out in relationships. I was stuck in an unloving marriage because I hoped my partner would change. My hope was actually a compromised emotional state which had corrupted my logic. I thought that if I just loved her enough, gave her enough she would be happy. Wrong. I had to experience the pain of her hurting me in order to realize the love I felt was imaginary. It was not real love. I had idealized this person in my mind. I told myself “this must be love.” Wrong . I knew I was a good person and always tried to do the right thing, but I needed to learn to love and respect myself. Not validating myself through trying to please another. Asking myself “is this good for me?” helped me to regain my boundaries and learn to trust my intuition. I think people really don’t know themselves well enough to express their authenticity in relationships. How can a real loving relationship survive without mutual respect?

Whats the cause why someone has ambivalence in their thoughts so much, and why other dont? Thats the right question.

I recognize a lot in this! Especially when it comes to the pull back, and is scared that they dont feel the same, as much as their partner does. How is that workable? What do one need to work with? Depending if you want to stay in the relationship? Learn how to feel love deeper?

Also have the same question. Everybody makes diagnose but nobody talks about causes and solutions for this state of mind.

Too much thought actually lol. I hate ambivalence. I feel constrained by my own self by seeing how bad two roads can get by a choice I make and not wanting to negatively affect myself or the world around me. When I was young I used to do things more instinctively and it seemed like life rewarded me by making what I consider now to be unethical or immoral decisions and life seemed to punish me when I chose what I would consider ethical or ultra-moral decisions...it can be absolutely paralyzing. Idk how to help anyone else Im still looking for successful people that overcame this same sense or embraced it and found a positive way to wield it. Good luck everyone

Thank youGeorge and Wesley for this great piece - it really provides structure to the process of enactments and ways to respond in the emerging moment around an enactment. It's very clarifying and accessible to have this articulate in such an easy and passionate way. Many thanks :-)

Are you suspecting your partner of cheating or having an extramarital affair? I'll advice you to get proof first before confronting him/her. As that could result in unnecessary confusion in your relationship or marriage. it's always advisable to consult a professional hacker to help you get concrete evidence by discreetly getting access to their phone or computer. Andersontech65@GMAIL.COM he has worked for me a couple of times and he never disappoints. he provides Accurate results .
