I’m lookin at upgrading to a 2004-2006 cbr 600rr, from my yzf600r, tbh I want a more aggressive look and body-style. What do yall think?
@@dantethuringer999 Definitely get a 2009-2012 cbr600rr. They are lighter, more powerful, and won’t cost much more. They look better too in my opinion. You won’t regret it!
as a cbr owner myself its good to hear what its like to ride this bike through the screen. i want one now LOL
@@garrisonbauska7520 I highly recommend it! It’s seriously crazy how fast it is and how smooth it handles. I love my 600rr but there’s no denying how much better the S1K is. I’m hoping to get a CBR1000RR-R one day though
SportbikePOV, how comfortable was that bike for you as you are 6'2" tall? Do you think your lower back would hurt if you did a small 500 mile tour on it? Also, because the windshield seems to be higher, did the air flow over your helmet? Lastly, do you think or feel that you could sit more 'upright' while operating the bike?
@@markettradinggenius The ergonomics feel great for me honestly. No back pain at all. The stock seat is a bit on the firm side though and I do seem to put more pressure on my wrists (compared to my CBR600RR). When you’re tucked, there is literally zero wind. When cruising, an upright sitting position is comfortable, especially when you throw on cruise control 👍
Virginia down to Florida needs to have lane splitting or at the very least Lane filtering for motorcycles. It not only makes common sense, which most politicians don't have, but California have already done 'internal state studies' that strictly mentions that the fatalities on a motorcycle is alot lower than that for cars ! There are some fatalities, in California due to lane splitting, but there are actually more car crashes than actual crashes on motorcycles while the motorcycle is actually lane splitting! Why can't Virginia down to Florida simply allow Lane filtering if they are that scared of motorcycle crashes? ...Hmmmm......
@@markettradinggenius Yeah I agree man. Lane filtering definitely needs to be legalized. There’s no danger since the vehicles are stopped and it makes traffic more efficient for everyone. Also, there’s less chance of you getting rear ended if you move in front of already stopped vehicles. Lane splitting definitely has more risk involved, but it should be treated the same as passing a vehicle on a two-lane road using the oncoming lane. If it can be executed successfully with minimal risk, then it should be allowed
90-100mph isn't even that fast

@hirschbuilder9300 Well I’m not gonna be ripping at 180+mph on a public street? I mean maybe on the highway lol… But I was very impressed by the torque and acceleration

After how many miles should this stuff be done?
@@Smkallday420 You need to replace the chain when the axle adjuster blocks on the swing arm reach the indicated “replace chain” area. It will take numerous chain adjustments to reach that point. The amount of time depends on how well-maintained your chain and sprockets are. You should also replace the sprockets when you replace the chain because worn sprockets will wear down a new chain quicker. To get the most life out of your chain: You should clean, lube, and adjust your chain every 1,000 miles. You should also re-apply lube at the halfway point too (every 500 miles). Keep your chain slack within spec. The proper chain slack is different for each bike, so check your owners/service manual to make sure you’re within the specified range for your bike. tl;dr: It depends. Keep your chain well-maintained. Replace when axle adjuster blocks on swing arm tells you

I also have a cbr600 how do you manage to keep track on which gear your in? do you hear the engine noise or count in your head?
@@thetrollhimself5861 Yeah I go by sound for the most part. Also I can tell when I shift from 2nd to 1st or from 5th to 6th by how the shift pedal feels on my foot. 2nd to 1st has a distinct “clunk” and 5th to 6th feels like a “click”. All the other gears are smooth and “empty” feeling. Kinda hard to describe. But sometimes on the highway I’ll still try to shift into 7th lol

@@davidmoore_723 I’m glad you enjoyed bro! Yeah I’ve never felt anything like it. The torque is addictive. It can definitely get you in some trouble because it’s way too easy to go fast. The bike just wants to be going 100+mph. Will do, thanks David!

Hi bro , do i need to buy automatic wrench ?
@@ridenitro99 I would highly recommend buying an impact wrench. It makes removal of bolts so much easier, especially for that front sprocket bolt! It was pretty tough to remove… It’s probably not a necessity, but it’s certainly helpful and worth the price. Make sure you also have a calibrated torque wrench, so you can tighten the bolts to the proper specification found in the owner/service manual. You definitely do NOT want any of these bolts coming loose while riding!
Can u suggest me the best impact wrench ??
@@ridenitro99 The one I use is “Ryobi 18V One+ HP Brushless 1/2 inch Impact Wrench (Model P262)”. I use it on things other than my motorcycle too so it’s definitely a useful tool

You honestly don't need a 1000cc bike. The 600s are plenty. I would say only get a 1000 if you're tracking. They don't need to be on the streets. Just my opinion. I honestly regret buying a 1000 just ride on the streets. I later learned 600s have plenty of power for street riding. With style of course. Lol Be safe out there. 🫡🫡

Hey how tall are you? I’m 5’4 and is wondering how well I can fit on the cbr. Will I struggle to flat foot or tippie toe
@@rogerdodgerxd On a stock bike, you won’t be able to flat foot both feet. You will probably be able to tip toe on both sides though. Plus, you can always lean it at a stop to flat foot on one side. I do this most of the time anyway. I usually only have two feet on the ground when I’m “reversing”. Some riding boots have a decent amount of lift so that should make it easier. You could also have the bike lowered 1-2 inches (but it will affect the handling a bit). Definitely don’t let it stop you from riding 👍

@@kaizz3n Thanks bro! Yeah I usually only clutchless shift when accelerating fast but I can clutchless downshift too.
