Due to COVID the 2020 Jamboree was done as a virtual event. We had a great time hosting lots of fun activities for families to do along with us from home. If you missed the live feed, you can still get in on the fun. The fun is still online, however prizes have all been awarded to live participants. We are looking forward to seeing you all again soon (virtual or in person).

Allison, Sam's mom, joins us from Florida to share their story. Sam had a traumatic birth resulting in Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE). Allison shares details on some of the challenges they faced as well as some of the wonderful memories that they made during Sam's life.

Jennifer, Sophia's mom, shares their story with Actin Myopathy, a type of Nemaline Myopathy. Jennifer talks about getting the diagnosis, learning how to manage all of the equipment, home health, finding support, and how she is managing having a medically complex child through the COVID-19 crisis. Jennifer, Luca's mom, shares her families story. Luca and his brother, Lorenzo, were diagnosed with mental health disorders. In this video Jennifer is very open and honest about accepting the need for professional help, getting a diagnosis, dealing with stigmas, as well as losing Luca to suicide. Jessica, Hendrix' grandma, shares their story with non-accidental trauma and the complications that they deal with each day.
