my beagle last night was playing nascar till 0300, litterally 1 hr till i had to be up, and decide to take a shit on my chest as i was laying down trying my best to get some sleep, this little turd was looking at me as if he did no wrong. beagles are clever but can push a line like no other dog.

Every beagle seems to vary HUGELY with respect to personality and behavior. I have a beagle and he is seriously NOTHING like the beagle in this video. He literally NEVER barks, but he have a deep "baroooo" he reserves for telling you he needs back inside, or if you went bye bye without him and you come back home. He loves stuffed hedgies (the kind that honk when you squeeze them), which he mouths but never tears up. He IS food obsessed and does the cutest happy food dance when you're about to feed him. He snores LOUDLY and barks (more like breathy woofs) in his sleep. He has a thing for freshly laundered towels and if you're not careful, he'll try to hop in the laundry basket to take a nap. He is pretty much a Velcro dog, and he wants to be with me all the time. He's pretty much the perfect dog!

lovely, but omggg very stubborn!! my childhood dog was a beagle called bumble! he was 1 year older than me. he got into so much mischief that my father took him to training classes. after 4 weeks he was told not to come back because both bumble and blair (my father) were untrainable. obvs my father and bumble took this as a badge of honour. my father used to take him on his evening walk and go via the pub. when my father was away, my mother did the evening walk and bumble pulled her into the pub.....the landlord said...hi bumble the usual and produed a saucer of beer and some pork scratching......bumble even had his own basket by the fire!!! my mother was furious that bumble and my father were barflies when they were supposed to be getting excersize. if ever i had a bad dream i never went to my parents room, i used to go downstairs and get in the basket with bumble. eventually when i was bout 3 i objected to going to bed completely. i wanted to sleep with bumble. my parents tried every thing to stop me, including locking me in my bedroom. i just climbed out the window and went to bumble. eventually they realised that either bumble had to sleep upstairs with me or i had to sleep downstairs with bumble. my mother ws neat freek so she didnt want dog hair upstairs, so they bought a larger basket, and i slept downstairs snuggled up to the beagle. beagles are also fabulous if there is food on the plate you dont want. as a child bumble sat with his chin on my lap at meal times. anything i didnt want, i hid in my hand and passed it down to bumble!!!. my mother used to boast to other parents that her daughter wasnt a fussy eater, i ate whatever i was given......it took 15 years til bumble died that she realised i was passing stuff under the table to bumble. in the 60's in school holidays all kids were kicked out of the house after breakfast, given a packup of jam sandwiches for lunch and had to be home for tea. no one ever worried about me , because bumble came with me where ever i went and always protected me. if either of my parents shouted at me or tried to hit me......bumble would growl at them and back them down. i lived in birmingham uk when i was a small child and used to go to stay with my granny and gramps for every holiday. again in the 60s. i was put on the train in the guards van (as mny children were) in birmingham with my destination and changes pined to my lappel and bumbles collar. we were ushered off at ely by the guard and both put on the train to norwich. i also had a shillingin my pocket so the guard would put me and bumble on the right bus to get to grannys house. did this from the age of 4 onwards....different times. beagles rock, but they are thieves, stubborn, do bigggg sorry eyes helped by their long eye lashes and do the whole....it wasnt me look so convincingly that adult humans believed him. the first time i heard the the song...it wasnt me...by shaggy, i was sure he was singing about beagles!!! rip bumble x
