Hi there! I’m Scott and I’m a fix-it guy. I live a fix-it life! Welcome to my channel where I document and share all the fixes I run into in my regular, everyday life and offer instruction on how you might do it too. Whether it is a computer problem, a home appliance issue, a household maintenance chore or repair, a gardening problem or challenge, or maybe an automotive or mechanical difficulty, I like to try and solve the problem myself. I also have fun trying and learning new skills. I take on projects knowing I’ll learn something new, and I always gain an appreciation for other people who are talented in that specific field. Heck, this whole channel started because I thought it would be interesting to learn something about making and editing videos. Please subscribe and enjoy the fun of fixing.

Drywall Repair - Holes, Cracks, Texture
Thats what I call robust construction !! Had one of these yrs.ago, thanks for the detailed video !!
nice. but you lost me when you had to make your own tool. appreciate you. but i bought a new one for 7$
Thank you so much, I appreciate your help, BUT for some reason, a bunch of videos from my original Playlist did not move over and are missing! From my 233 video playlist it now has only 225 videos and I have no idea why. But a bunch of vids are missing. Is there a way to fix this little issue? Thank you so much.
Speed queen the best 😊
You made it look so easy! Great video!
Thank you! 😊
You are the only tutorial that showed the adapter for the wiper.
Thankyou so much jee
Perfect tip but you took it out and dropped it
Your clay soil is shrunk because it's too dry. That's why pier are sunk. Now, with your repair ,when rains starts, clay soil will expand and your peer will return to normal previous position and floor will buckle up. Get ready to lower your jacks. You did a great job, but All you need to do instead is a regular irrigation equally around the house.
Same noise problem fixed by following your method, but I just added coconut oil to the moving parts and No noise afterwards
Great 👍, would have never thought to use coconut oil as a lubricant.
Thank you, great video. Does the water come out cold or warm?
The user has control of the water set temperature; washlet heats the water.
Love your room! The floor, the live edge table! Thanks the for the video. I just received m stand and sure need your video.
Awesome! Thank you!

I have new gas cap with a lock and code comes up
Great job. In Texas you hope it’s only some bugs under your house. Onions garlic mint and lemons keeps things away
I have never heard of that!
Looks great, but how would you repair it if it were the brim, including the bias edge?
I've done brim repair by binding the fibers with CA glue (super glue). There are different viscosities available; medium is good. Put a few drops of CA on a piece of wax paper (CA doesn't activate on wax paper), then use a very fine piece of wire as an applicator to dab tiny bits onto the cracked straw. If it's badly broken you'll need to first weave in little pieces of straw, or some other type of fiber, that'll hold across the damaged area.
My AU-A03T is making a popping sound when I talk do you know the fix?
Probably some sort of over-modulation? You may need a EQ program to control the level. Too, be sure you don't have an internal mic on the computer active at the same time as the accessory mic.
I am a old drywall finisher digging to repair sinking house No idea what I'm doing first thing is how or were you start on the leveling process
My damper was replaced but still will not open. And I don't see where the temp sensor is in my refrigerator. I saw the repair guy replace it but he did not put the cover chute back on properly. So after he left and I cleaned it fridge compartment out I pulled the cover and he'd made a mess of the damper installation. Foam insulation was all torn up but alas, even straightening out the mrss the door will not open and fridge is warm as can be. According to stats. It's the fridge temp sensor that tells the door to open and close. But I just cannot locate it. There are 2 small vents in the fridge that are not inlet air but I cannot see how they pop off. But am assuming the sensor must be behind one of those. But don't want to break it trying to get to it. Pitiful.
How much should I expect to pay for this repair?
In escrow on a house that is going to need some of this work. Unfortunately there is a batt insulation that has gotten damp and is hanging. It's going to be an awful job, but has to be done. I've also got to install a vapor barrier. I'm planning on wearing a respirator though as I don't want to breathe in all that junk.
Looks great! I was worried that after all that hard work you’d forget adding a bidet. 😊
Thanks
Why is a gas cap being tight so important that it triggers check engine light?
In simple terms, the entire fuel system of a modern engine is pressurized. there is a host of reasons for this, one of which is that gasoline vapors in the tank can be captured, re-routed and burned, increasing the fuel economy. Allowing these vapors to escape is also a pollution source.
@@ItsFixable thank you 👍🏾
The playlist is moved to another channel; however, what if I want to remove or delete the channel all the playlists are moved from? Should we live with first channel being empty if I intend to delete the first channel?
Once you create these duplicate playlists, you can freely delete the old channel. But note that any videos uploaded to that old channel will also be deleted, and if these video are included in the duplicated playlists, they will no longer be available.
My very idea of distributing playlists (and thereby videos) across channels is to get rid of the source channel (for whatever reason). It seems even though playlists could be distributed across channels, the debris (source) needs to be there in the TH-cam account. Anyway, thanks for your reply!
Great video, Thank you for posting this. This will.help.me with my porch floor.
Glad it helped
The rubber grommets raise back up through the holes when I tighten the screws through the strange shaped metal washers. If I only tighten the screws to the point where the rubber begins to climb up, the bracket is still very loose. Very unhappy with this setup.
The grommets are supposed to squish and expand tightly in their holes. Perhaps your toilet has holes that are too large? I suppose you could use a washer and nut below instead.
Thank you! Great video on something we can all do, but forget because of the timeframe of not doing it all the time. I wasn't aware of the red washer for the hot. Funny my hot side washer always fails....Now I know, thanks to you....
You are so welcome!
I agree
If ya can't find an old part but have the original you could also probably get a small machine shop to make one. I love the beefy build quality of that saw :) Makes my 1980's Rockwell 9" contractor saw look like a cheap imitation.
Skilled machinists are getting harder to find, but yes, that's a good option.
Just buy a new one wow too much trouble and moist feathers isn’t the vibe
Have you looked at the price of a down feather pillow? I think washing make a lot of cents ;-)
Hi. I have a customer that complains of that noise, however, she says hers is continuous and when I opened it I noticed that it kept going up and down. Do you know if I have two separate issues? I’d the noise the damper but the continuous running is something else? I noticed in your video that the damper kept moving up then down. I assume it’s because the doors are open but the customer complained that it’s constant. Do you think if I replace the damper she will be fine or if it possible that it will be less loud but still keep running all the time, closing and opening? Thanks for the video and for any advise you might have.
Change the damper; that should solve the issue.
Thank you! On my way to fix the exhaust fa
You got this!
The videos viewers and comments will show in new channel or it could be a new starting for those old videos ? Plz suggest , thanks.
Comments and likes are attributes of the individual videos and they will display with the video. Playlist views will start over counting from 0.
Thank you for this! I'm going to see if I can figure it out on my fridge. Can you buy this part in stores, or do you have to order it online?
Most appliance parts dealers should have it available.
I love u ❤❤❤ u fixed my provlem
☺️, Glad I could help.
Good job
Thanks
I have a floor that needs this. Sequence of events: 1. Set off a bug bomb in the crawlspace. 2. Put a fan under the house to air it out. 3. Put down tarps under the floor everywhere. 4. Get a LOT of dust masks. 5. Fix the floor per the fix it guy. I can do this. Thanks for the info on what to use. I'd have never known.
Glad it helped.
Thank you so much! 🙏🏼 My problem was that I hadn’t turned the gas cap till it clicked.
Glad it helped!
great job . nice detail can i use a paint &primer in one thak you
What I've presented here is my prefered approach.
@@ItsFixable thanks
Hi sir where are you located?
California
Excellent Job !!! I learned a lot that I can use on my house......I love those Simpson Strong-Tie J57 .........did not even know they existed. Thanks for the info.
Glad to help!
Great vid! Whats the best primer to use under INSL-X Tough Shield Floor and Patio Paint? Im dealing with some aged & weathered wood im trying to preserve.thanks!
I'm not familiar with that product but typically, if using and oil based enamel you want an oil based primer, and if using an acrylic based enamel you want a water based primer. The type of aged bare wood can make a difference too; resinous woods, acidic woods, and so on. Talk to your local paint pro shop. They're the best resource.
@@ItsFixable Thanks, I did exactly that, and they said the same thing you said! Ill be getting the water based. Thanks for the reply
I wish I had your washer and dryer! The newer washers have these preset cycles and are horrible. They assume we are stupid and can’t figure it out!! Plus, they are designed to last about seven years. What a joke!
Thanks for posting an easy to follow video. Just purchased a 2015 Terrain SLE-2 and of course it needs all 3 wipes changed. I know it's not rocket science but I didn't want to break anything trying to force it.
You can do it!
@@ItsFixable It's already done sir, freakin $75 for 3 wiper blades is insane. The funny thing is I didn't purchase the most expensive ones... 😞
I agree, it's crazy! But what can you do?
Keeping it simple. Thank you.
You're welcome!
Thank you so much. Our Toto came without instructions and this was so damn helpful ❤❤❤❤
Glad to hear it!
You are a genius, thank you so much man!!
You're welcome!
I really appreciate this tutorial. It’s been very helpful. Thanks a lot my friend. Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱
Glad to hear that!
Why do you use channel locks backwards when you don't need channel locks in the first place?
I don't have the same strength and dexterity in my fingers that I once had. I like channel locks versatility, and for a light grip positioning is irrelevant.
Good for Home Work not for the Client washing part is important , on walking aerials Stain has more durability than Paint . Good luck 🤠
