Expeditionary Jeep
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 14 มิ.ย. 2020
Expeditionary Jeep is a TH-cam channel that I started in June of 2020. It had been my dream as a kid to own a Jeep after watching so many World War II films and TV shows like Combat. My Papa and uncles were huge influencers on this as they owned Willys Jeeps that were mostly leftover by the US military in the Philippines after its victory over Japan.
Come join me in my Jeep and be my passenger as we explore the magnificent places and breathtaking views of the United States. I would like you my viewers to see my point of view as we go along this journey.
HAPPY TRAILS!

Exploring Grant Lake
Overlanding at Grant Lake along Highway 395 offers a scenic and rugged outdoor experience in California’s Eastern Sierra region. Grant Lake is part of the June Lake Loop, surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes, alpine forests, and expansive high desert. Overlanders often enjoy camping, fishing, kayaking, and hiking in the area. The roads leading to the lake are typically gravel or dirt, requiring high-clearance vehicles for some routes. The remote setting provides a peaceful escape, with easy access to other destinations along the iconic Highway 395, including Mono Lake and Mammoth Lakes.

Camping at Miramonte, California | Good Times with Family and Friends!

One quick getaway spending time with family and friends, catching up and exchanging stories. The simple joys of playing childhood games despite the age makes you feel young again. Playing mafia was the best. We would try to figure out who was the cop in the group. “The cop” was pointed out but he said after the game he was undercover 🤦♂️😂😂😂. Group singing under the stars, enjoying cold cerveza...

One of my favorite lakes, nice video!
Thank you Mike!
The history was interesting. You could edit out the night time scenes. Too much time around the camp. More trail coverage would have been more interesting.
Really appreciate your honest feedback, and thank you for taking your time to watch my vid and dropping a comment.
Beautiful spot! We love this area.
The best!
Wow nice! ❤
Thank you for taking your time watching my video!
Stunning!
It really is!
Can you show me how to get there .? Thanks
What are the rest room facilities for a group of this size?
Good question. Each vehicle has their own restroom. Either having an attached privacy tent or deploying a pop up privacy tent. We then use readily available camping porta potty.
Do mind sharing the location? What exit would I need to take if I were to leave from Marin County Ca going North 101? Nice video
Thank you! Take US-101 N to CA-20 E in Calpella. Take exit 555B from US-101 N
Sir i send you an email po, just have some questions. Thanks
Kamusta kabayan? Please check your inbox. I thought I responded to your email. Happy trails!
If only we could stay longer out there. We really do our best to make sure the spot we camped is cleaner than we found them, we would even stop along the way when we see some trash on the trail. Thanks for watching!
What a beautiful spot on the river! Nice message to leave places cleaner than you found them. Looked like a really great time 👍
What a beautiful old Jeep. It's had an interesting history 👍
Thank you!
Stay away from Modvans! You’ll be lucky if you’d ever get a working van. They have amateurs working for them and wanna be engineers that don’t even know how to use a screw driver 😂😂😂 floor batteries Incased by wood many shop fires, surprisingly yet to see this crap start a forest fire
Thank you for your feedback, they looked like they know what they were doing when given the tour. But yeah, I’ll do more research.
@@ExpeditionaryJeep I worked for them before they laid off all their workers because they were about to go bankrupt. Then they had to go beg for more money from their 100s of investors, after 6-7 years and still asking for money. When they talk to you, it’s all a script. They were demanding full payment of 1 van just to complete another van.
@@cbareng oh my!
Nice video man! I’m from the Bay Area too! This spot looks so sick! Can I ask where it was at?
Hey bud! We chanced it upon around Eel River road / county road M6.
I really like the storage in the rear Ive been buying American adventure labs stuff myself. I have a Gobi roof rack just like your and was wondering what brackets you used for the KC light bar? I been thinkjking about getting a KC light bar myself.
Hi Patrick! I used Gobi racks brackets which I included when I ordered for the rack, it asked me for that option, I believe it’s a 50 inch option. I just checked their website and looks like you could buy them after the fact. Here’s their exact wording “LED Light Mounting Brackets 50″ Rigid E & SR Series (JK/JL/TJ GOBI Rack)” and sells for $150.oo Happy Trails!
@@ExpeditionaryJeep thank you!
The roads are gnarly.
I agree! Just take it slow and you’ll be fine should you try going there.
😮 Wow!
Coming up with an interview with it’s owner pakner
Can you still easily remove the roof if you wanted?
If the RTT is off, and if I had the quick disconnect on the Gobi rack, yes.
do you mind sharing the location?
Send me a dm. Jmcapistrano45@gmail.com
Beautiful video. Truly enjoyed it. Only issue I have is it seemed like you camped in a non designated camping spot. One of the reasons Prewitt ridge is shut down. People camping wherever
Thank you for watching. Yes, unfortunately when we got there, there were a couple of rigs camped at that spot who were leaving, and so we took it. As soon as we got settled a forest ranger came to us and told us about it not a camping spot. We politely said there were vehicles before us who just left and we didn’t see any signs posted. Ranger told us that people would take out signs posted. We took the citation and paid for the infraction.
sarap naman diyan boss. baka pwede pa share kung saan yan? salamat god bless always!
Thanks for watching! Sa Mendocino national forest, just past the bridge going to eel river.
nice video JM, looks like a fun trip.
It was indeed a fun trip! Thanks for watching Bruce!
That really blows.
Yeah, just made it work by keeping warm inside the jeep. Thanks for watching!
Nice. I love my Gobi
Congratulations!! It’s super fun to add mods. Applications are endless!
Nice video! It does get windy there!! Happy Trails
Thank you! I finally got to see trona pinnacles in person. Sure does make me want to come back and explore more.
Looks like fun!
Super! We gotta plan a 3 location weekend trip.
What a fun adventure. This place is on our list of places to visit. Great video, happy camping!
Thank you! It was really well worth! I’ve been planning on doing a 3 location overland (Mojave desert or Death Valley, Trona Pinnacles then Alabama Hills)
@@ExpeditionaryJeep Trona Pinnacles is the only one we haven't explored yet. We love Death Valley though!
Thank you! Thank you for inviting me. This trip was truly memorable!

Glad you got your jeep back. Super lucky more wasn’t taken off it. In heard of missing motors etc as well. Now it’s time to build its next iteration!
Indeed we were lucky! Thank you. We will slowly build it budget permitting.
Auto thefts are on the rise in many cities across the country, including San Francisco -- but in the Bay Area, arrest rates remain low. Car thefts in San Francisco have gone up year after year since 2018, according to publicly-available SFPD data acquired by CBS News: 2018: 4,934 car thefts 2019: 5,115 car thefts 2020: 7,081 car thefts 2021: 7,476 car thefts 2022: 7,729 car thefts This data reveals most cars stolen in San Francisco are eventually recovered -- about 75% of them in 2022 -- which is better than the national average. But as the number of car thefts has climbed, the arrest rate hasn't -- which stood at about 6% in 2022. * news transcript courtesy of CBS NEWS BAY AREA
The most important is you got back the Jeep. That means, another project! 😅

What a beautiful location, and the food as always looked delicious! I loved the nighttime photos and time lapse. We have the same water can and pump setup as your friends and LOVE the idea of the sprayer attachment! Great video!
Thank you! It was a great experience to camp besides the water in this heat. Let’s link up sometime and hopefully explore the Trinity Shasta NF one of these days.
