Really need to slow down the camera work (dizzying) and face closeups. Stood in the Silver Palm butler suites section in 2024. Really went downhill. Not recommended.

It's not worth it. The food is very small portion at all the restaurants, and you have to get room service after 1030pm when the sports bar closes up at 1am. To say the resort was open in 2018 and closed for 2yrs bc of the pandemic they really need to do some upgrades on the furniture/bathrooms in the restaurants. The room had a smell and I was in building 6 with partial ocean view. Not worth the money at all I paid extra to be a club member which was an extra $500 and my husband and I wasn't allowed to go too 2 restaurants bc he didn't have a button up shirt. Which they offered to give him one, but who in the hell wearing their clothes and it's not my husband style. With the club member they pick up with a suburban truck but your departure time they drop you off with a small carolina vehicle 😮 and I wasn't expecting that bc on the website they display black suburban trucks. Far as the drinks very water down and I had better drinks at Royalton/Eden Bay resort in Jamaica...The property is huge, but the resort is not that big at all. Lastly want to address they wanted to charge 335 per person to go on a excursion to the dunn river falls and thank God i save my connects from my last trip to Jamaica and he took us there for only $170 and the park cost us $25 to enter the park.. To say the least they tried to profit $450 from us...😂😂😂 not today or every. I will rate Excellence resort a 4. Save your money and go somewhere else

Man this is one of those... Which is more important? type of deals. Not sure if you got the travel insurance, but I ALWAYS get the insurance for those "Just in case" moments. Cruise Lines don't have that kinda pull for missed flights. The most they do is give you onboard credit for the "stress". We got stuck in Bermuda on the NCL Joy, and they gave us $100 on board credit. Lucky for us we live in NYC, so we didn't have to worry about flights. Tough deal.

It sucks yall went through this. My cruise with messed up because of the storm too. This is showing me that TRAVEL INSURANCE especially when it comes to cruises is so important. Big the travel insurance they provide you through the cruise line but a THIRD PARTY because they pay you back even if you miss a port and definitely if you miss a flight or they change the itinerary drastically.

I know it must be frustrating- especially with travel plans made and paid for. The only thing I can say as someone in the industry, is that these decisions are not made lightly. The deck department and shore superintendents will have been monitoring the weather and once it goes past a point when bringing the ship along side is considered too dangerous (threat to life/ship) then passengers will have been notified. The Captain and their team are there to ensure smooth sailing for your cruise, but also to keep you safe. A tip for anyone going on a cruise is to arrive to the port city at least one day before disembarking, and if possible, travel home the day after arriving. While your situation doesn’t happen very often, weather is unpredictable.. I hope you had a lovely cruise vacation tho!
