Between The Cultures
South Korea
Hi guys, welcome to my world, where Korea meets Germany and cultures collide!
My name is Karina, and I'm taking you on my journey through South Korea. After moving here from Germany, I'm discovering the country with its vibrant culture and traditions. We will explore the unique nuances of Korean life, from different places to the customs and everything in between. Let's see what it's really like to live here. We won't stick to the old tourist routs in Seoul because there is so much more to discover beyond the capital city.
Share your opinions, ask questions, and tell me about your own experiences in the comments. This journey is about the shared connections we make as we navigate between the cultures.
And while my life is in South Korea now, my wanderlust is always calling. So, accasionally, I'll also be taking you on a journey beyond the peninsula to explore other cultures and landscapes.
So come along with me, and let's see where this adventure takes us!

Taroko park has been closed since april2024 ,following an earthquake , we were there yesterday
Oh no 😱 I didn't know! Thanks for the update. Hopefully it can be restored soon :( It's such an amazing park.
B. The Baker's Table (더 베이커스 테이블) in 이태원2동 und 삼청동, Fleischerei Blumetz (블루메쯔) in 대치2동 und auf 노들섬, Wienerwald (비너발트) in 월곡2동, Elefant (엘레판트) in 하남시 . Vielleicht trifft man sich ja mal irgendwo. 😀
Wir waren dieses Jahr auch im 독일 마을.
I hope u get more views , ur video is pretty great
Thank you 🤗
😊
thanks for the tips! very useful
If you don’t mind me asking, what university did you go to?
Chungnam National University :)
This is incredibly helpful. Thank you for taking your time explaining this.
This is a nice informative video. I am planning my trip soon and this is very useful for planning. Thanks for taking the efforts of making this video.
I was just in Namhae-Gun German Village this last Weekend. It was a great place to visit, the food was amazing and there was no shortage of German Beers. The people were super friendly and welcoming. I only know a few words in Korean, but everyone was so helpful, it wasnt a problem. i highly recommend a visit. My Facebook page has some good pictures of the area. facebook.com/profile.php?id=100069937425530
hope to see you this summer vacation mga kabayan

Beautiful scenery, nice trees and hanok! 🤩
It's really beautiful there 😊
Beautiful 😊
It is indeed 🥰
This video is attractive because i live jeonju 😊
Jeonju is so nice 😊 Lucky you~
Is there any other places you recomend to do in jeonju?
Voll schön 😊
Danke 😊
Hi there! Thank you for making this informative video :) I was wondering if you need a local debit card for the stores and services on campus (I.e. the self-service store you showed) and when out in the city. Or, are cash and international credit cards sufficient?
Hey, glad to hear that my video was helpful. 🤗 You can use international credit cards but not all cards might work everywhere. You can pay at many places also in cash but not all machines are taking cash, only card, so keep that in mind. But if you're a student I think it's required to open a korean bank account, for example to get a scholarship.
Does Chungnam accept ged students with the language program?
I'm not sure but I can imagine they do. Please ask the university directly to be sure. They answer to e-mails very well from my experience. :)
Hi 😊, I was watching your video, I find it very interesting I plan to study Korean language in Korea and chungnam is my choice I have some questions, can I ask you? I would really appreciate hearing about your experience
Sure :) You can ask here or on my Instagram @between_the_cultures 🤗
Thank you very much .💜 I am going to study there ,so it is very useful for me.
Glad to hear. 🥰 It's a really nice university so I hope you enjoy studying there.
@@betweenthecultures Really Thank you very much If you know can you tell me about the fees and how many course are there to studying.
@@Mickyjenifer The fees depend on what you want to study and if you're a graduate or undergraduate. The best is to check their website.

Hello ! I hope you are well. I have seen the videos on your channel. your video is very good But your video optimization is not friendly 1. SEO Score is very low 2. Your Title - Description - Tag SEO is not friendly 3. No Share Social Media Platform and many problems on your TH-cam Channel Immediately need SEO for your TH-cam channel I am waiting for your response. Thank you.....

Hi, hope you are having good time in South Korea. I have recently applied Chungnam national university, international studies course. I am high school graduater from Uzbekistan who has Ielts 7.0 and 4.79 gpa and also SAT 1330. I wanna know about your opinion of me getting in this university from your experience there.
Hello :) Unfortunately I cannot help you a lot with that. I only took part in the language courses at CNU so it's difficult for me to assume how much chances you have to get admitted. I know there are many foreign students at CNU from many different asian countries, like Uzbekistan or Mongol so that shouldn't be a problem at least. :)
@betweenthecultures Understood, big thanks for your time and answer.

@@betweenthecultures really, very well explained, it's clear, you also talk avout funny things (like the end ). And your videos and images are cool 😁

Very good.
The restaurant i guess is wonjala, a newari restaurant. The wonjala means going to the god after the 1st day of marriage ceremony in newari culture.
Exactly! I checked the pictures on Google maps. It is "Wunjala Moskva". Thanks for the additional information. It's so interesting! 🤩

great video! maybe next time an indication of an approximate price for each activity would be great. Do you know where I could find out more info on possible events?
Thank you 🤗 I will keep the prices in mind for the next time. Great suggestion! The best is probably to check out Jeonju's Instagram account to stay informed about the events @visitjeonju_official.
Beautiful Video 😊
Thank you 🤗
Hello, I wanna know why most of the people are wearing a mask?
The video is from the time of Corona. Now only few people wear a mask in Korea.
