I was homeschooled too! And I absolutely adore science. My mom would sit down with me and we would watch space documentaries and I would soak it up. I wanted to be a scientist but I sucked at algebra in HS so I gave up but I still absolutely love to read about space and really all science. Love it!

My only explanation for the drawings "holding power" is the therapist says children first latch onto and communicate through images. That's why Abby had to draw a picture of what happened to them to remind them of what happened. Also for the stranger things sounding intro... the story of FNAF begins in the 80s which stranger things heavily leans into. I wish there was more music/ambiances from the game incorporated into the soundtrack

I just pray beyond good and evil 2 is given justice. Which I assume part of the struggle is due to the original developer retiring and started doing animal conservation work. It makes me nervous though because anthem was in development for like ten years and had no content. It was environmentally gorgeous but that was literally all it had going for it. I’m loving the pod casts guys, really looking forward to the next.

He wasn’t joking about the donkey Kong love, that game has always held a special place in our souls. Kinda surprised you didn’t mention beyond good and evil at some point. Definitely one of my top 3 recommendations for revival.

Good episode! I noticed that Aaron talked a lot about his teaching, which opens the door for me to ask...what film/tv shows would you recommend for teachers to show students in class? A fresh list would be great, or even dedicating a list as a segment of the should would be great. Honestly, a lot of students have been saying Shawshank Redemption, Goodwill Hunting, and the list of usual literary adaptions are good movies but played out. They've seen these movies over and over by their previous teachers so that ticket has been punched. I'm curious anyway. I also enjoyed learning more about your hobbies and insights. Aaron, is your novella available for reading? If so, link? James, are you referring to the Death Korps of Krieg for your 40K army?

Great episode, Aaron and James! I just finished watching the previous four episode and I love the combination of analysis and banter. I think that's what I appreciate about this show. There's a lot of podcasts that talk about movies, shows, comics, etc. for sure, but yours offers a much more analytic breakdown. With this in mind, I have a couple of ideas BUT I definitely don't want to mess the your mojo. One of the aspects I like is that you two don't always agree but you do respectfully offer insights and arguments that could go either way depending on perspectives. What if you all each did a top ten list based on some theme such as horror, sci-fi, or whatever (maybe seasonal...Christmas or Valentines day) movies and discussed each and why you chose that film/show? Or, you could do something like a VS episode where you each pick THE film that you think defines a certain genre and discuss why chose that particular film. Again, just a suggestion, but I think the banter would be great and it would give us viewers two different viewpoints to consider. At any rate, keep up the great work!

The more I moved on from sixth grade, the more I miss this class and everything we did. That class just always had the welcoming feeling. Everyday I still really miss that class. While I admit Im not the best student but that class just felt like I could be myself no matter what
