I remember seeing the Gallegher episodes as a child when first aired in the 60's. Never thought I'd see them again after so many years. Based on stories written by the 19th-century journalist Richard Harding Davis, a household name in his day. As a kid, I wouldn't've had a clue who Edmond O'Brien, Harvey Korman, or Ann Francis were but it's fun to see & recognize them in this now. Disney actually pioneered the miniseries concept with multi-part tales such as Gallegher.

A big reminder that bak in the 50s thru the 70s young boys dreamed of being cowboys and looked up to them as heroes.Almost all young boys.A shame that today that has passed.I have fond memories of playing cowboys and indians as a young boy.We all had cap guns and little leather gun holsters with a plastic sheriffs badge.

Worked with Roger at BPD, really great guy with a heck of a life! Also a Green Beret in VN and later after Law Enforcement he became a preacher! I think he is training horses now, but not sure!

Good story definitely worth watching.
