Bravo Corneil! I don't know how I missed this concert. Glad to have found it online. Loved the use of the playback feature to make your own duets! The Widor was fantastic and just the right tempo too!! Finally, loved the small detail in pushing in the tremulant at the end of the Bach. :)

    1. It Came Upon the Midnight Clear Sears/Sullivan/Willcocks It came upon the midnight clear, that glorious song of old, From angels bending near the earth, to touch their harps of gold: “Peace on the earth, goodwill to men, From heaven’s all-gracious King!” The world in solemn stillness lay, to hear the angels sing. Still through the cloven skies they come, With peaceful wings unfurled; And still their heavenly music floats o’er all the weary world; Above its sad and lowly plains, they bend on hovering wing, And ever o’er its Babel sounds the blessed angels sing. Yet with the woes of sin and strife the world has suffered long; Beneath the angel-strain have rolled two thousand years of wrong; And man, at war with man, hears not The love-song which they bring; O hush the noise, ye men of strife, and hear the angels sing For lo!, the days are hastening on, by prophet bards foretold, When with the ever-circling years comes round the age of gold; When peace shall over all the earth its ancient splendors fling, And the whole world send back the song which now the angels sing. 2. Jesus, Lord of All Creation Habash/Handel Angels winging, church bells ringing, choirs singing anthems sweet. Stars are gleaming, hearts are dreaming, Rapture beaming, Christ will greet. Sent by the Father Who heard our call, Sent to atone for Eve and Adam’s fall. Jesus, Lord of all creation, came to save us one and all. Glory to God in the highest, who sent His only Son to earth. Jesus, Lord of all creation, came to give us second birth. (x2) 3. The Shepherds Bach Cantata No. 208 Thro' the splendor of the heavens came an angel choir to sing; Shepherds heard the song celestial, saw the heralds of the King. 'Mid the solitude of midnight on the plains of Bethlehem, Shepherds looked with awe to heaven, And the host that came to them. 4. Psalter 134: Praise and Trust Psalm 48/Elvey Within Thy temple, Lord in that most holy place, We on Thy loving kindness dwell, the wonders of Thy grace. Men sing Thy praise, O God, where'er Thy Name is known; By ev'ry deed Thy hand hath wrought Thy righteousness is shown. Let Zion now rejoice, and all her children sing; Let them with thankfulness proclaim the judgments of their King. Mount Zion's walls behold, about her ramparts go, And number ye the lofty tow'rs that guard her from the foe. Observe her palaces, mark her defenses well, That to the sons that follow you her glories you may tell; For God as our own God forever will abide, And till life's journey close in death will be our faithful guide. 5. The Bells are Ringing Blanchard/ Lupton O’er the snow of sparkling whiteness steals a sound upon the ear, There to linger with a brightness, sweetest memories ever dear, Soft and low the bells are ringing, in the heavens the angels sing. As the stars were softly glowing over Bethlehem’s city bright, Once the Lord of all the ages came from out the realms of light, Soft and low the bells are ringing, in the heavens the angels sing. Sweet the strains of seraph voices as the angels took their flight Downward to the lowly stable, circled it with radiant light. Soft and low the bells are ringing in the heavens the angels sing. 6. Once in Royal David's City Alexander/Warner Once in royal David’s city stood a lowly cattle shed, Where a mother laid her baby in a manger for His bed: Mary was that mother mild, Jesus Christ, her little Child. He came down to earth from heaven, Who is God and Lord of all, And His shelter was a stable, and His cradle was a stall; With the poor, and mean, and lowly, lived on earth our Saviour holy. For He is our childhood's pattern; Day by day, like us, He grew; He was little, weak, and helpless, tears and smiles, like us He knew; And He feeleth for our sadness, and He shareth in our gladness. And our eyes at last shall see Him, through His own redeeming love; For that Child so dear and gentle is our Lord in heaven above; And He leads His children on to the place where He is gone. 7. No.1 - Break Forth, O Beauteous, Heavenly Light Rist/Schop/Bach: Christmas Oratorio Break forth, O beauteous heav'nly light, And bring our great salvation; Ye shepherds, hasten through the night, and kneel in adoration. The Son of God whom mortals see, shall set the weary captives free, The reign of evil ending, His peace eternal sending. All blessing, thanks and praise to Thee, Lord Jesus, now be given; Our everlasting joy to be, from Thy great throne in heaven. Oh, grant us through Thy holy grace, a deep desire to seek Thy face; In love we bow before Thee, with praises we adore Thee. 8. No. 2 - Christians, be Joyful Bach: Christmas Oratorio Christians, be joyful and praise your salvation, Christians, be joyful, lift up your voices in high exaltation, Sing, for today your Redeemer is born. No longer be troubled, leave all your sorrow, Turn from your mourning, Turn from all sadness, no more be disheartened, Haste with thanksgiving to greet this glad morn. Christians, be joyful and praise your salvation, Christians, be joyful, lift up your voices in high exaltation, Sing, for today your Redeemer is born. O Christians, be joyful, Sing to His glory, Christians, be joyful, sing to His glory, Sing to His glory, O Christians, be joyful, Haste with thanksgiving to greet this glad morn. Come, let us praise Him, from heaven descended, Greet Him with songs, whom the angels attended; Come, let us worship and bow down before Him, Let us with voices united adore Him. Quintessence Strings Ensemble: Trio Sonato Op 2 No. 1 Handel CHOIR 9. Cherubic Hymn No. 7 Cozens/Bortniansky Cherub Hosts we see before us, Telling, telling of a mystery of Heaven. To the Trinity most Blessed singing, Singing now with joy their Thrice Holy Song! And that joy our hearts overflowing, And that joy our hearts overflowing. So we cast away all earthly care. Amen. 10. Carol O Ye Angels Moore/Anderson Haste ye to the manger on this happy morn; Hear the choir of angels Carol “Christ is born!” Shepherds bow before Him, seers their tribute bring Gold and myrrh and incense to the infant King. Refrain Carol, O ye angels; Carol all the earth; Tell the joyful tidings of the Saviour’s birth. Glory in the hightest; Peace, good-will on earth ‘Tis the wondrous message of the Christ-child’s birth. Come then and adore Him, Infant, Saviour, King! Down the endless ages let His praises ring. Refrain. 11. Grant Peace, we pray Felix Mendelssohn Grant peace, we pray, in mercy, Lord, In our time peace, oh, send us! For there is none on earth but Thee, None other to defend us. Thou only, Lord, canst fight for us. (x3) 12. Solo: Cossette Gritter Blessed Is the People Handel’s Chandos Anthems Blessed is the people, O Lord, that can rejoice in Thee, They shall walk in the light of Thy countenance. 13. To God on High all Glory Be Decius/Bach To God on high all glory be, and thanks, that He’s so gracious, That hence to all eternity, no evil shall oppress us: His word declares good-will to men, On earth is peace restored again, Through Jesus Christ our Saviour. We humbly Thee, adore, and praise, and laud for Thy great glory; Father, Thy kingdom lasts always, not frail, nor transitory, Thy power is endless as Thy praise, Thou speak’s the universe obeys: In such a Lord we’re happy. O Jesus Christ, enthroned on high, the Father’s son beloved, By Whom lost sinners are brought nigh, and guild and curse removed, Thou Lamb once slain, our God and Lord, To needy prayers Thine ear afford, and on us all have mercy. 14. Away in a Manger Rutter/ Kirkpatrick Away in a manger, no crib for a bed The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head. The stars in the bright sky looked down where He lay, The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay. The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes, But little Lord Jesus no crying He makes. I love Thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky, And stay by my side until morning is nigh. Be near me, Lord Jesus; I ask Thee to stay Close by me forever, and love me I pray. Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care, And fit us for heaven, to live with Thee there. 15. To God Be the Glory Crosby/ Hughes To God be the glory, great things He hath done, So loved He the world that He gave us His Son, Who yielded His life an atonement for sin, And opened the Life-gate that all may go in. Refrain: Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear His voice! Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice! Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son, And give Him the glory, great things He hath done. Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done, And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son; But purer, and higher, and greater will be Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see. Refrain.
