Hi im town hall 9 right now I think you should chose your base depending on your own preferences I didn't mean placement but i mean if you like attacking you should upgrade your town hall most and don't spend gems complete the seasonal task i think they give you builder potion Which will be of big help to you and join a clan If you get laboratory later on remember to upgrade wizards and giants the most bc they does give alot of dmg and will be helpful in battle And for defense upgrade the air defenses And you should use research potion for fast researches and To upgrade your troops i recommend upgrading the archer and giant more giant can tank the dmg while archer can attack from back But after your like town hall 7 or 8 they become quite useless And you'll get archer queen at town hall 9 use her with healers combo healer is a flying troop so take out enemy air defenses first before placing them with archer queen You won't understand what im saying now but one day you'll know

1 more tip - remove the Obstackles like Stones,bushes,mushroom etc. It will give you some gems

I am giving you a tip my town hall is 6 so I am giving you a tip - Dont waste gems, In future you will need to built more Builder hut, and more builder hut equals to you can Updrage several things at 1 time
