Hello there, I've read the Elite panel you're using has "dynamic control loading" for the yoke. Do you know what is it? Does yoke loading in pitch and roll increases with increasing airspeed, just like in the real aircraft? Thank you!

I'm guessing it's like adjusting your car seat while going downhill. Been there done that, twice. Good job for the pilot for recovering.

Had a similar issue in a glider. Got in too fast, didn't adjust Seat Position and weight as i should... The winch start was OK, but after release the glider was almost not trimable and got nose up all the time. Had to unbuckle, pulled myself to the front and wrapped the pillow and everything i had around behind my back... and got down asap. Fully underestimated the importance of the right seat setup.... Flight did not look dangerous from outside... But it have been the most scary minutes in my glider..

That didn't look so bad. Thirty plus years ago I had a Captain say to me, after I'd made a similar comment on landing, never bet that your landing wasn't better than the best they had ever done! That was in a B-727. I have a 1967 Cessna 182L but I have floats on it. The Cessna 182 is one of the finest airplanes ever built!

This happened to me with a passenger too on take off at about 200 feet in a Cherokee! I slid all the back in the back seat, I had instant rubber stretchy arms, luckily the attitude of the airplane was not affected due to my quick reaction. I flew the plane to 1000 feet leveled off and fixed my seat. It happened again later in the flight. Then later a cylinder failed over NYC harbor and I had to drag my self in at near stall speed to do an emergency landing at JFK. I didn’t pay for that rental as you can imagine. Me and my friend Nicole who was the first time flying with me in a little place e were happy to be alive. What a day!

I had the seat pin pop out of the rail while doing touch and goes while taking lessons in a C172. As soon as I rotated the seat slid all the way back! My instructor grabbed the controls, good thing he was there! The rails pin holes were elongated and required replacement!

The seat moving back makes that much difference in balance? What about the rear passengers compared to empty back seats. Do you have to muck around with ballast? wtf

Check out the Manifesto book by Mike Busch and also the engine book by the same author. While there will never be total agreement of everything maintenance/engine related he makes a ton of good points and the books are good for current and potential airplane owners. I read them several times before searching out my 1st aircraft purchase.

THIS HAPPENED TO ME! OMFG! 172 at Auburn University on like my 6th flight. Instructor takes off, his seat fails, all controls go wonky and as he's scrabbling back up to keep us from NOT crashing, I have to take over. 2nd scariest flight of my life.

Being equipped like a 747 doesn't help for the landing.

I'm a use to be Cessna pilot. It just occurred to me that maybe we shouldn't keep hanging on to the throttle once we rotate. Maybe hold it full in with our thumb, but not hanging on to it.

This happened to me back in the 1970's on take off fortunately I let go of the control column luckily I had a flight instructor in the right seat 😂 There was no way for me to reach the controls I was that far back in the cabin 😅 You have control ! You have control ! To which he nodded and we carried on with my lesson 😁

Exact same thing happened to me as a solo flight student in 2000. But I was prepared by having read many accident reports. Instinctively grabbed the A column at the side of the windscreen and let go of the yoke. The airplane continued to climb while I adjusted the seat, somehow managed to fixate the seat position, and flew away. Wrote up a "squawk" when returning the airplane, and later - during preparation of my PPL checkride - I stumbled upon a Cessna seatrail AD, which was immediately understandable with that experience.

Boy , if he had dropped a wing while in that stall - SHEEEEESH. I'm shocked he was able to recover just before running out of altitude !!
