Greetings! 'Tis I, Crisp Moon! I like posting guitar vids and sketches, I'd say I'm above average at guitar,. I know the major and minor pentatonic scales and three positions of the major scale and I can improvise but I'm trying to get better with a metronome

sounds good, what gear are you using if you dont mind me asking?
Thanks man! I'm using a squire strat with the marshall code
pov you've just learnt the pentatonic scale
yeah its just pentatonic licks i made hahaha
And it’s somehow still of higher musical quality than anything out of the mind of Kirk Hammett
@@SelFreeLions Mr nobody opinion 😂
@@SelFreeLionsSays who? You? 😂 your a nobody compared to them😂
@@user-lg6my4sj1d Kirk Hammet is a good guitar player, not a good musician, there’s no method to his madness, it goes beyond nothing but “sounding cool” which is in its own right a style, and if that’s for you, then fine, but don’t pretend there’s any deeper meaning to his musicality
just record yourself playing some chords and solo over the top of that, it will really help
Thanks for the idea man! I'll try making an entire song with this as the solo and upload it here
Amazing🤘
Hypocritical for me to say this cause I'm a less experienced player but I know this is good advice. You should avoid doing the same patterns, focus on catchy techniques, doesn't have to be hard, just gotta be creative. Try to incorporate other scales that are connected with the scale you are focusing on.
Agree here, i sometimes learn a certain lick and it is hard not to play it while improvising. And, my advice, learn all modes of pentatonic and add to this 7 modes - u will have all notes of ur scale on the entire fretboard.
id say avoid doing it too often. more times than not, hearing a good riff played multiple times makes the solo catchy.
(coming from a more likely LESS experienced guitarist)
haha i also make such solos
