Cranks are casted, not to be welded. The vibrations would totally wreck the crank. Now, if it was billet steal, that would be different.

I always wonder…is this type of garbage work performed because they are in a third-world country, or are they a third-world country because they do this type of garbage work?

You can clearly see the grind marks and thermal discolouration. @ around 2.00 he is welding the 2 parts of the crank together without any attempt of alignment or setting the crank "Throw" of the part that was previously cut off with the grinder. @ around 23.00 you can easily see the damage he has caused to the No 5 Big End Journal. This is just another "Click Bait" video showing how to turn scrap metal into even more expensive scrap metal.

That lathe bed takes a beating…

Nice try, but the welding method needs more groove spaces to weld both main axle to build up metal.

Why they have to throw everything on the ground is a terrible idea. They also have no idea as to the damage that they are doing to the lathe by letting the heavy parts bang on the slideways as they lift it on and off. They then bang with a hammer on machined surfaces. Someone should show them how to treat precision equipment. That looks like an almost new lathe too. Bet the spindle bearing are knackered after welding on it. Did not see a seperate earth for the welder, all the welding current will be going throught the spindle ball or roller bearings.

I would not use that flywheel in any vehicle
