How come the wood and epoxy dont "bleed" did you prep it before ?

I just downloaded the print files and notice it needs a top to keep the cards from falling out or a design with a pressure plate that pushed against the cards to hold them in. Think I will design a flip top that is connected to the lever arm :-)
