Living with the Wild: Eco Tourism in Uttarakhand
| Dedicated to Aditya Pandey. Posting this video with a heavy heart. It was created by our staff writer Aditya while he was there with us for a month in Uttarakhand. He had plans to do more such environment focused stories. Didn't know it'd be the last story he'd be doing for us. You are constantly remembered and missed. RIP |
Camp Hornbill, a eco-friendly resort in Kyari village, Uttarakhand is bringing luxury and environment together. The Camp is visited by all 3 species of Hornbills found in this landscape, and hence the name.
Through its mud cottages, composting, native tree plantation, the resort offers a unique experience. It is a community led-enterprise set up by the villagers. Located inside the Jim Corbett National Park, Camp Hornbill aims to create an alternative form of nature travel that is responsible and contributes to nature conservation and community development.
