This is called parallel traffic...
I like We Ride Share of Ohio.
An SPUI with a Texas U-Turn might work well.
Why are there traffic light pylons in the middle of the intersection? They tend to attract stray motorists, you know.
The traffic poles in the middle of the road are an error in the animation, if you are interested in an actual SPUI design you could search for I-75 and SR 63 in Monroe.
@@MiamiValleyRPC a diverging diamond seems safer and more efficient.
@@Dave12753 Actually the SPUI works beautifully and is less confusing to motorist. There are more than a dozen of these in the Memphis/Shelby County, TN area. Diverging diamond takes more concrete, more signals and more space than the SPUI. The one advantage of the diverging diamond is that there are only two traffic cycles.
Mine says 3 whats all that about i live in an industry town and my air quality is better than Alaska
Get on the sidewalk
Not legal in most places due to safety reasons.
Unfortunately the present design of US-35 and Woodman Ave doesn't allow for the space needed to do many other designs besides the tight diamond interchange or a SPUI. The Linden Ave intersection is about 300ft (90m) away from the east bound ramps for US-35. With a SPUI, this would move the ramp intersections over the highway which is 675ft (205m) away from Linden Ave. This would allow for longer turning lanes and would reduce congestion with the added distance between intersections.
this is smart, but the whole signal light thing is lame upon retarted,. meaning verry slow and ineffective for traffic flow. germans have a thing called asfaurt, forgive my spelling. its half a mile from the interchange but uses the merging lane as a turnaround incase you took a wrong turn. then theres no need to trun left, because your left turn would encounter at the next asfuart. then come back for your right turn. + has open traffic flow with no stops!
I think you're talking about the german "Ausfahrt". Never knew that this is a german thing.
@@kazimir8086 It's just the word for exit and means nothing else.
