The interviewer is being an asshole. He is lucky Toni didn't just walk out.
The music was number one. Any Devil connection was actually cool to me, dangerous. That drew me more to it… the thing you should not like, Evil actually drew me more to the band and music. Not that I am Evil, but it was cool when I was growing up in the 70’s to be dangerous, forceful, hard. To take what you wanted and have no regrets. And it was cool to like Rock music and especially Black Sabbath.
This interviewer is an absolute tool
It was Paranoid. The song. She must have been completely mentally well before listening to it, but then put it on, instantly went insane and killed herself. It's the only explanation.
Tony is intelligent, he thinks clearly and speaks so well. The interviewer is trying to push him into a corner and insinuate that he was a bad influence on people.
Iommi is the riff master ,he created heavy metal and Doom ,he is wise from all his yrs and one of the greatest guitar players of all time
He's literally like any English Uncle from the 60s eraL chill, calm and more of a man than any BBC interviewer will ever be
No need for the wolf to concern himself with the opinion of the sheep.
This interviewer is a dick
Perhaps it's just me, but this is an unsettling spectacle of a clueless interviewer trying to make a rock icon feel a sense of guilt and/or misery over his mercurial accomplishments.
War pigs is the greatest anti-war song ever written.
Is this an interview or an interrogation? 😂😂
Good Guy
You can't fake Black Sabbath.
After forever is about the most pro-God and church ever written including Christian rock tunes .
I thought that I had heard they were influenced a lot by 1950s low budget Hammer (UK) horror films. Kids in the UK and USA during that era that loved those horror films. Oddly, 30 + years later those characters turn up in films for kids including Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter. The Peter Cushings and Christopher Lee to name a few. Both Cushing and Lee were knighted or because Sir Christopher Lee. Sit Alec Guiness was another but I don't think he ever did any 1950s low budget horror films.
What is quaaludes?
Musicians play and create music over things that already exist; it is not the way round 😅.
I love all and much prefer Black Sabbath post Ozzy. Going through my collection it's clear that Iommi has always been the creative engine of the band. The lyrical imagery is no different than watching a horror movie, I love it. And his trademark dark wicked sounding guitar is unbelievable and tells you that it's Black Sabbath.
It's insane how the blame for so many of the world's problems got shifted to Black Sabbath and other musicians back in the day. I'm happy the stigma has diminished and they now receive the worldwide appreciation they deserve.
The most humble and unassuming man who invented the nastiest , heaviest droning guitar riffs ever. The ultimate riff master
King Diamond loves upside down crosses
Moore Timothy Walker Angela Miller Larry
2:41 👀
They saw people lining up for horror movies and decided to make music to watch horror flicks to. some of their heaviest bass lines are perfect for that.
Rodriguez George Williams Jose Robinson Ronald
no nothing like acid ..... just ludes n blow
The name of the show is, Hard Talk. So it’s going to be a little uncomfortable and thats fine. The whole thing was a classy and stylish interview. Iommi is an intelligent, thoughtful, reflective man. Love these interview with these guys i grew up listening to.
Satanic lyrics? Interviewer has no idea as usual. "Could it be you're afraid of what your friends might say If they knew you believe in God above? They should realize before they criticize That God is the only way to love"
Tony is a true Master.
The media has always been the down side of life for greats life Sabbath, Maiden, Moterhead, etc.....😔😔😔😔😔
Nigel in Canada🇨🇦 Black Sabbath was the first "praise n worship" band a moral compass of right and wrong actually Biblical in nature
my god Tony has the patience of JOB dealing with this KNOB of an interviewer
Tony IS Sabbath. Simple as that.
Interviewer is a nob head who sticks cucumbers up his arse😂
Thank you very much Philadelphia USA 🇺🇸 God Bless Everyone Always
Shite interviewer
I'm 60 listening to Black Sabbath all my life never thought of killing myself
Considering Tony’s reputation, that interviewer must have some guts to put him on the spot.
This interviewer is just another terry wogan, bet he had Savile's number on speed dial what a toxic waste of life
Just have to add this interviewer is a jerk and Tony is being very cool here putting up with him.
Tony’s music has only ever lifted me, never hurt me. Long live Black Sabbath!!!
What does dabble in the occult mean?
The popstars and radio friendly artists of today are far more evil and satanic than anything black sabbath ever recorded
Interviewer is a knob.
Read the lyrics on master of reality. The words are about believing in God.
It's spelled Ozzy, not aussie. Dummy
This guy is looney tunes. Seriously, of all the songs to claim as satanic, he brings up After Forever? This is how utterly backwards people think. This song is actually considered the first Christian Metal song. Sabbath influenced ALL Metal afterall. It's all pro God, pro Jesus (Geezer was and is a practicing Catholic), pro love, etc. I'm truly boggled as I'm sure Tony was. He handled this jackass with dignity and class. What a gentleman
I'm 60 years old and and Sabbath's songs to me were about the pitfalls of evil and not evil worshipping.
