i got one a month ago and i freaked out. If it werent for the sound that it makes before it starts up i would have been better. I went in and could see the sides and feel the sides of the tube on my shoulders... the sound in this sounds like the helium "pumping" into the mri but sped up. That noise scarred me for life.... oh yah im extremly claustrophobic.

Had one today: never thought I would panic like this! I am a grown a** man and felt like a child going to the dentist for the first time! I almost chickened out! My recommendation: Ask for a sedative and start "counting sheep" ....I mentally went through the inventory of my workplace and tried to recall prices and products we sell, just to keep myself busy....the difficulty is to keep absolutely still for up to 30minutes!!

OHHHH, I LOVE the blessed sound of the MRI machine. Its just such a wonderful wonderful sound. If I could, I'd have my own. I love those sounds.
