Indeed ... I grew up spending my middle school through college years, spending the weekends at Crash Boat !!! There were 5 BIG Piers back then ... 1960's ... the storms knocked them down. Today they are a paradise underwater, a beautiful reef where you can enjoy all sorts of young colorful fish, sea horses, and corals. Just an awesome family place... not too deep in that area, the sunken piers... about 25' the most. Clear, Super Clear waters !!!! LUV IT !!!! 💕

What he said is probably true but look at it from the point of view of the customer These days hotel rates are overinflated and when someone pays 400-600 plus a night to simply sleep in a room, they do have a certain level of expectation. In addition, he kept mentioning small and franchised properties not the flagship brand names. If you want to get into this business, first realize it is a 24 hour environment.

I took on Numerous Roles and my favorite job by far was Bellman but Internal Bellman. - At one property we had Internal Bell and External Bell. The fore was all around the Property, the amenities, the guest interactions, everything about the property. The latter was mostly around drop offs and pickups from Airports, Amtrak stations etc. The latter did Mail runs off property and had to deal with traffic. - I worked at a beautfiful place in Moab, UT that had the Potential to truly be super amazing but fell short in so many areas. Most of the time I had embarassing situations from other departments not understanding the big picture of Hospitalty. I loved coming to work, I loved my job, I loved helping guests and I told my Manager daily "I am here for our guest's" that was my personal Motto. - If only I had the $$ to buy and renovate the property I would be rolling in the dough....😂😂😂if only

NOT being cynical here but reality is just that, reality. 👀 There are great companies out there but most of them are fully staffed as expected.👀🤔 So you have to go with the lower grade hotels and things change dramatically with standards. 👎 For one, they hire poorly trained Managers 👎who have no degree in Hospitaltiy and you are at the mercy of their bad behavior👎 their lack of Professionalism and their typical resonse is "If you don't like it there is the door". if you really need your job, stick it out for 3 months, get that review even if it is so so it will still be valuable for another venture😊. I trust zero companies in the US and looking now at being an online worker not dealing with anyone in person. 🎉🎉

OWNERS, EXECS, CEOS ALL NEED TO RESIGN let the industry recover and go with a younger generation. Words have an impact if our ears hear those words and most of all we cannot resolve those issues.

Scorpions are on the south east side of town off of Maryland Pkwy and Tropicana. Also seen coyotes walking down the street called Clydedale, near eastern and Russell rd. There is a small golf course off of eastern that coyotes have dens in. Watched a coyote followed by 2 other coyotes literally jump straight up onto a 8 1/2- 9ft wall from a standing position on the ground below like it was nothing at all and then hastily walked on top of wall near boulder hwy across from boulder station casino. Seen a couple garner snakes. Seen 1 road runner jump up onto a closed dumpster and then onto the roof at a motel called par-dice off of Fremont and eastern (no longer still there). Rats, mice, bats, moles, fence lizards, geckos, skinks, horned lizard. Seen a huge snow owl flying near Tropicana and Spencer. Also seen many red tailed hawks near Spencer and Harmon. Seen ducks, geese, pheasants, quail, ravens, and even seagulls. There are tons of turkey vultures at the city dump in boulder city (like upper 100's if not in the thousands). Saw rubber boas up in carson city and toaho. There is more I've seen here in vegas but that I can't think of at moment.

also if eny one visits go to crash boat beach gozalandia river and waterfalls and zipline and guilligans island and go to aguadilla beach also no fishing licance or permets requierd to fish in pr and no permits requierd to spear fish just go have fun grill fish out door they dont bother you about bon fires or open grills

Just learned uber drivers dont get told by uber how much the passenger pays for the ride so cant work out how much uber gets and how much of it they get themselves.

You’re right about the insurance thing. I remembered yeast back I told my insurance company that I would be delivering pizzas for a chain part time after requesting a declarations page. Because I didn’t have commercial insurance, my insurance company dropped me on the spot. I didn’t know any better at that time. I learned that commercial insurance was way too expensive and I guaranteed no delivery driver would pay that kind of money. As suggested by my boss at that time, I took a gamble and bought another policy and not mention anything commercial. This was before rideshare was introduced in my area.

I'm 48, single, no kids, and I want to go to school in LA and eventually get a job working in the film industry. I have a particular interest in learning how to be a screenwriter. But I currently live in the Midwest, and the thought of even TRYING to figure out how to move to LA to accomplish this, is very overwhelming!

I've been working in a hotel for 2 years, somehow I managed to get promoted to front office manager, but my goodness is it becoming too much to handle, I feel like I give it my all, and even while my boss tries to work with me I feel like I may never be at a good enough level to handle everything. I guess my only question is what else can I do, never in all my time working had anyone given me a real chance to move up and I think if I let go of this position too soon I'll never be able to command a salary that I can live off of comfortably.

You need to make people super happy, you give constantly and it's never enough and you are rarely helped
