What's a window and pig in Lesotho Sesotho?
Hey Mpho thanx for watching. Pig=kolobe Window=fensetere (this term is derived from Afrikaans, so they also use it in Lesotho)
@@LearnSesothowithT-kay but I thought you said in Lesotho they use pure Sesotho without any borrowed words from Afrikaans...🤔🤔🤔
@@mphosa995 Please note that The video indicates the difference in Sesotho spoken in SA and Lesotho, and mentioned that in SA they use sometimes use borrowed words from Afrikaans. The video did not however indicate that Sesotho spoken in Lesotho is pure with no borrowed words. If you would rather have a Sesotho word for Window, you can make your own descriptive word for that, which would be awkward in a conversation, for example for Window if it were translated to Sesotho it would be Khalase ya lerako..🤷♀️
@@LearnSesothowithT-kay but this also means that in Lesotho they sometimes use borrowed words from Afrikaans... Meaning these two Sothos aren't that different.
@@mphosa995 OK.
Dumela, i"d like to know why is lelapa a sesotho word pronounced as lilapa instead of how its written. Shouldn't there be this "^" sign on top of the "e" for the sound to change?
