If you scrape the sides of the kettle it will be sugary ..made this all the time I was growing up. Years ago.
You dont say temperature
Do you add the other ingredients after it's cooled??
We didn’t have such a thing as a candy thermometer… so we always dropped some in ice water to tell when it was done. Never added peanut butter. Just black walnuts gathered and shelled.
Hi, I love this! Tried it and over it! Thank you!
Do you have to add the peanut butter to this Recipe, of fudge?
Do you have to add peanur bymutter to this Recipe, of fudge?
You have an unusual approach to hygiene. Handling raw chicken but then not washing before you handle other items.
I thought the fudge had to cool down to 110 degrees before stiring
Can't see your recipe at your website. It is trying to force us to accept your 'cookies'. No thanks. No subscription. No thumbs up.
Should let us know the ingredients before you cook fucked it up
How did you introduce the sugar to the coca?
By first names.
Lmao 👍👍👍
When its to soft what does that mean?
Best recipe yet ive seen.
No recipe, no star :(
Oh you poor pampered baby. Did you have to watch the entire video. I can't wait to delete your gen
Oh one last thing… I love the serving dish you put the chicken in. Really pretty and unique.
Oh my goodness. You are a treasure! I’m a super home cook foodie and I love your choice of foods to make. You are a great teacher too. Not to quick Thank you thank you. Have a blessed and lovely day.
How to make without p nut butter?
Does anyone make this recipe with any type of sugar substitute?
Thanks, I’ll try the wide noodles. I use ground turkey.
I never thought about rolling the pretzels to make sure they make a nice shape. So cool!
When you're feeling experimental, cut down on the sugar. Many fudge recipes call for three cups, but you can often get away with two. Gives it a darker, more chocolatey taste, and actually better for you.
I wish you did a close up of the pretzels.
*This recipe has been around about as long as there's been cocoa powder and a pot to boil sugar in. My parents made this when I was a young boy and I'm 62 now. You can control the consistency by how much you stir it as it's boiling. It's pretty good with crushed peppermint candy canes in it too... I would caution AGAINST REACHING OVER A BOILING POT OF SUGAR, sitting on top of a hot plate, like she does @**3:06**.*
Can I leave out the peanut butter? Will that affect the way it sets up?
Very good! Thank you ❤❤❤
I just made some but it’s not fudge ITS TOOTSIE ROLLS OH NO
Thank you so much this was one of my moms favorites she’d make that I absolutely ❤ed , as kid n still to this day. Truly a memorable experience making with mom too. 🙏
😂😂😂😂😂
This isn’t the real recipe.
I'm 71 years old and this is FUDGE! Mom made it every few weeks and my dad tried a few times but it always ended up as thick chocolate sauce we put on ice cream. My favorite way is to make it grainy..I love that grainy texture!!
I love to make a batch with special dark and dried cherries. Very good. I made one batch with a little cinnamon and dried habeñero for a Mexican chocolate fudge.
Mom mom used to make this fudge and we would have a big bowl of buttered, salted popcorn. You're correct - they really go together. So good!
Love Hershey Cocoa when I make no bake cookies I mix the Coco and sugar together before I add the milk..it really helps a lot.. great video
Don’t remember the peanut butter.
Thank you for sharing this recipe. I will be making a batch or two for my kids, grandkids and great grandkids. After seeing your video, the memories came back right away about how my grandma made really good fudge! Somehow thru the years I replaced my grandma's delicious fudge recipe with the marshmallow one. Your video inspired me to return to the way of the good old days! Blessings to you.
I seem to remember my mom using evaporated milk. Will that work?
ive been making this fudge for 70 years. the best fudge ever❤❤❤ This is our go to candy year round.
When my nana discovered crunchy peanut butter she would use that if she was out of walnuts. My sister learned how to make it get grainy for me bc I love that grainy texture! Everyone else gets the good version.
Thank you!!!!
Where did you buy the container for your white chocolate drizzle? What size is it?
When I was 8 years old my mom used to make this. It was fudge Friday with a movie and fudge!
That's the fugge my mom used to make. We called it 'hard fudge'.
My dad made the fudge recipe off the back of the Hershey's cocoa can. He added black walnuts to it that we picked up from the farm. The last time I tasted it was 1989. I cannot find even a picture of that Hershey's can...and yes, I remember him talking about the softball stage
The Hershey's Cocoa is still available at most groceries in the Chicago area and I just checked the one in my pantry; the fudge recipe wasn't on it, but I am sure it would be on the Hershey's website.
I thought the recipe called for three cups of sugar? And it said after adding the butter, let it cool to 110F before stirring.
A woman used to bring this fudge into work for us. I asked her how she got it sugary (gradually). She said stirring it a lot. I actually like it better that way. I haven’t made this recipe in years. And found this video, which reminded me of that. Can’t wait to make it! ❤
Great recipe thank you sooooo good!
Very tasty!
Love it girl ❤️
Now this is something I remember, love the recipe thank you very much Ma'am.
My grandpa added sugar milk butter in pan this is not what he showed me when I was a kid when he was alive he said put it all in pan ..I was taught to add peanut butter and vanilla in after it cools so it will harden faster ..his fudge was old school ..
