I'm 71 and just had my first bbl/halo a couple of days ago. Be sure to watch a longer video before your appointment. I'm a natural redhead and have very fair skin. Redheads have a lower threshold for pain-something we're lacking in our biological make up. Anyway, I found it to be very uncomfortable. A combination of a wet rubberband snapping the skin and pin pricks. The halo was more painful. Afterwards isn't too bad- there is a burning sensation as in a sunburn. I was given a cooling mask afterward - just the eyes and mouth are visible - it's all white. I drove home in it - and could have cared less who saw me. The mask lasts 2 hours& they gave an extra one - for another 2 hours. After a few hours the sting is pretty much gone. I did keep a small fan on my nitestand to blow right on my face if I needed it. 2nd day was very red and swollen. Today's is day 3 and I have less redness and swelling. Skin has a very dry sandpapery texture.

I wish these stories would be more realistic as far as describing the pain. Numbing cream on for an hour did nothing for me. I’ve had Morephus 8 as well. Nitrous oxide I was also offered did NOTHING for the pain. Is this just me?

It does take care of the sun spots but not the nasal labia folds. It does look much better.

I have a four inch patch on side of head lost the hair in one month, except for the grey hairs they stayed lol

The procedure might have worked, but I see some photoshop touch-ups in the after picture, oooops.

I would like to comment , that I feel it’s actually in very poor taste to use a model or patient with normal healthy hair to demonstrate what you would expect at an examination , this was not thought out well the demonstration could as easily be done using a short video demonstration or alternatively a manikin head with hair , I suffer alopecia ,and am also a trained practitioner in mental health (now retired ) I watched the demonstration and could not help thinking how beautiful assistants hair is ,and at one point the dr. Pointed out that she did not suffer from alopecia . This was oblivious and when said in such an approving conformation . This is no fault of assistant . But it alienates the potential sufferer from this condition , this is not s wholistic approach ,as women and men feel stigmatised by what it happening to them and with all due respect ,are fully aware they are in a club no- one wants to join . I think some alterations could help to improve approach . These are my thoughts ,and I understand others may not agree , but I think it would be interesting to hear others views on this . I say this not to complain but to hopefully encourage Thought about these issues and perhaps leading to change I know it’s a small thing but for a young woman ,to even start to acknowledge this is what is happening is very much connected to how she then views herself so the psychological effects are easily 50% or more percent of learning to live with this condition I’m sure you’re agree particularly as in most cases there is little that can be done .

Was this the one treatment of BBL and Halo only? I note there is no response to the same question below. I gather that's because you don't want to say she had more than one (maybe three?). Very misleading!

I had Sculptra injected deep into my temples that left me with big nodules that look like horns. My doctor flushed them with saline 3 times with no improvement. Recently she treated them again with a cocktail of hyaluronidase and steroid with no improvement. Can you please recommend anything else to dissolve them? I'm desperate and crying daily from this deformity 😭😭😭

I had a small spot alopecia the size of a small coin in Feb & consulted a dermatologist. She just recommended some hair growing shampoos & clobatasol & minoxidil.. But it eventually grew! I then consulted a trichologist & the treatments they gave made it even worse! I’m experiencing more hairfall now. I now consulted a new dermatologist and this time, she already gave me kenalog injection because my alopecia is spreading all over my head! And my hair just doesn’t stop falling & falling.. As much as I don’t want to be stressed, seeing all my hair fall a lot everytime I wake up & take a bath stresses me further.. It has become a stressful cycle..😭

It’s very antagonizing to demonstrate this with a person with a full head if hair. No treatments have been provided in the video!
