lol everyone gets so worked up about an animal getting scared, like its not even a big deal that they get scared. theyre animals, and its not animal abuse. like i understand if theyre being scared with like yknow smth that could hurt em yeah i understand that but this person just poked it with that paper towel roll to make a video of their baby gecko screaming. not a big deal man

You have to do this to socialize them. Not all animals are like dogs where they are born understanding people are friendly. Even domestic cats are terrified of big humans unless socialized by picking them up and handling them when they are scared., Baby geckos are the same way. They need to be regularly handled so that they understand a person is not going to hurt them. Anyways, thats besides the point. Baby geckos scream at literally everything that moves. Mine screamed at her fucking water bowl sometimes. Theres a video online of one screaming at a gnat. Baby gecks screaming is unavoidable.

They need deeper water to be able to fill their shells with water. They actually eat the sponges for chitin to help rebuild their exoskeleton, and will drink from them if there's no other option, but they need deeper water, both fresh and salt water.
