During summer weekends, Rockaway Shuttle trains are extended from Broad Channel to Rockaway Blvd. Last weekend an R211A set was put onto the line that I was able to catch. Due to structural maintenance, R Train service was suspended between 36 Street and Bay Ridge-95 Street this weekend. As a result, R trains ran via the D line to 9 Avenue. Enjoy some clips of R160 R train departing from the 9 Avenue station! Along with an additional R68 D train. Taken 8/3/24

Due to track work on the Jamaica and Broadway Brooklyn lines this weekend, the J line was running as a shuttle between Crescent St and Jamaica Center. This resulted in M trains taking over J line service in Manhattan and running to Broad St. I never rode the Brown M when it was in service, so this was a nice experience, hope you enjoy! I remember the time where (N) (Q) and (W) were R160 wish it stayed like that cause I miss my childhood train being the R46 (F) now there R160As and sometimes B and Siemens

Nice video.. But the MTA should be ashamed of themselves with all theses slow train speeds. Grade timers have ruined once a nice system.
I was on one aswell yesterday I was suprised to randomly catch a r142 6 train that peaked my childhood I got some videos of the front window view and the whole car since I was the only one on the front car

You've got potential to be a great channel, which is why I've subscribed. But please do not fall into the trap that ruins so many transit videos. Don't ever zoom in on train signs while the trains are in the station. Shoot as much as the train and platform as you can, and let us watch the people loading and unloading. The train signs will still be very visible in the shots. I hope this channel grows and becomes big. This is a great start.

The R160 Siemens was the King of the Broadway Line until 2020 when they had to be transferred to the Jamaica Yard to be used for CBTC on the IND Queens Blvd Line.

@@twrailfans I was actually born in 2002 so that’s how I remembered the brown M train. It ended in 2010 so it was a lot of fun taking the R42 M trains
