Good Morning Emerson and host, Alyssa Altman, travel to Salem, Massachusetts to visit the Spellbound Museum and take a Spellbound walking ghost tour.
"Charles MGH Massachusetts General Hospital" is the best one. I remember when that was the newest feature on the red line.
Frank: The MBTA should have retained your voice as an AI.
I miss this guy on the Green Line :(
When I go to Boston this summer I'm gonna imitate his voice on the green line.
He’s been a great voice of the T for many years
It's funny that the word "approaching" is used when the train is about to enter the station and then the word "arriving" is used when the train is officially entering the station. The next red line train to Alewife is now approaching: the train is about to come. The next red line train to Alewife is now arriving: the train is now coming.
Hearing the voice of a mass transit system and knowing it is great, but it’s even better when knowing who does it and knowing about that specific person who narrates the system during your commutes.
Entering, South Station. Change here for bus connections, commuter rail, and Amtrak.
Next stop, Downtown Crossing. Change here for the Orange Line, bus connections.
The destination of this train is Ashmont
He has dimples, too 😍 😂
I believe the Bombardier fleet of the Red Line uses Frank’s oldest recordings and the later fleet has newer recordings of his voice.
Great to know more about the person behind the voice! :).
IIIIIIII gotta be honest. I thought it was a white guys voice. I've always thought, "man, he's got a smooth voice". Well, lo and behold lol
This man is a legend
its a lot better than the BART's 1960s robot voice.
So sad to hear his mellifluous voice on the MBTA will be replaced by a machine. Mr. Oglesby's voice over the T was that smooth constant amidst the rush hour chaos on the weekdays.
His voice should have been retained as an AI.
He did the MBTA orange line Announcement for the new cars
and red line
Thank god
it's so crazy that 2009 really looks ancient compared to now im 28 and yes i said it man life was so much easier back then i miss the early to late 2000s so much
Boston was super beautiful
I’ve met him before, a nice guy! And I had him sign my CharlieCard 😅
Black guys have great voices.
“The destination of this train is, Braintree.”
"The destination of this train is, Ashmont"
On the green line, I once heard the system malfunction. Instead of saying Heath Street VA Medical Center, it would say "The destination of this train is: change here for the blue line!"
Thats my family. Whaddup cuz?
Hey, thats my family
He's has a white guy voice. I thought he was white
Me too.
He has done a great job 👏
He needs to be on the green line type 9 and red 01900 weeks
Yeah, I hate those Android announcements! They sound so dull, boring, and blank!
@@backbayproductions9508 they make me cringe... the type 9 announcements not frank
Great job Frank
It’s so cool to put a face to the voice we hear all the time!
I always wondered why the Red Line sounds so different aboard lol
I honestly thought the greenline was text to speech software lol
route SL3 service to Chelsea ( the newest)
I just love the sound of him saying "Ashmont" on the 01800
Too bad the 1800 cars will retire in 2022
Next stop......Ashmont!
Right. He says it like Ash-Mont
i like it better when he says ashmont on the countdown clocks "the next ashmont train is stopped three stops away"
@@n_5408I come here, to laugh from the future.. 😂
Awsome announcer
Route 77 service to Harvard:, Station!😃Lol that's the route I always ride on The bus and now it says instead of Harvard station route 77 service to Harvard! Kinda weird did frank change his voice on the route 77 or did the bus people?
Siri of the MBTA?
So funny to see you around youtube. Hi there!
[HD] MBTA Videos no
PETER KAMARU huh?
I always get a kick out of the announcement at Harvard... "No Smoking Please!"
Right!! I’ll actually be smoking when he comes outta NOWHERE. 😳
Same with NEU :^)
He needs to do it for the Orange Line, don't like the operator's voices
He did
@Hated🖤🍃 so glad they used his voice for the new ol and rl cars i ride them frequently and would probably get very mad if they didnt
i love his voice
We should bring you to Washington DC, so you can do those announcements. Hehe!
This is Frank communicating through my son's account. I was there last week and the announcements are done by the operators. You couldn't understand them. About 20 years ago WMATA had a nation-wide contest for an announcer in order to transition to an automated system like we do here in Boston. I guess it didn't stick.
gogoburst8 ! There are automated announcements on the Washington Metro’s new train cars. They have a computerized voice, and I’ve noticed some grammar errors in those announcements.
@@jsn683The GoAnimate Kate voice is used on the WMATA 7K Series fleet, but yeah they do deserve a more human voice.
This is my Uncle. Good man and I find this very funny.
Cool!
Your Uncle’s got a great voice. He is to the MBTA what Charlie Pelett is to New York’s MTA, he IS the voice of the Subway. That’s why he needs to get back to the studio and record new announcements for the new green line trolleys they just rolled out!
WAIT!!! Dee Jones FRANK OGLESBEY WAS YOUR UNCLE!?!?!
PetersonE8 AeroEagle9496 not was, he is lol. And yup. Great dude.
@@coachdwjones1911 why dont i trust you...
Who does the voice for mbta Silver Line Airport announcements
Elevating Northern Colorado massport
@@metrobostonbusesanrail they meant who does the voice.
Yeah, the green line's voice does sound kinda creepy...
This is one of the best things I've seen from the MBTA
@janiceianlez Why? I wasn't aware the the amount of melanin in a persons skin, determined their job... What's truly not surprising is that someone who's clearly ignorant (yourself), doesn't know that the first letter of a sentence should be capitalized.
@DjRuff617 Ok. I'll check the mbta site.
@tpirman1982 go to one of the MBTA fare discussion meetings. he's at them
5:19 : dude is lovin it
I don't know if it is possible to get more out of style, rigid and outdated than Tim Gunn
I wonder where in Boston he works. I hope someday I meet the guy and comment his amazing voicework. Anyone know?
Frank Oglesby Jr. should be the voice of the T for LIFE!
Stefan Mogielnicki agreed with you it sounds exactly like him when I listened I was very surprised it was him but sounds exactly like him and his voice
