Sierra Leone ran nice, set up to have his race, until those two short steps. I'll bet you Flavin felt that and just let him run within himself he got 3rd of a $1.5M purse. Why beat him he couldn't catch Fierceness and Grizzly. And the rest of the field wasn't going to catch him. Go back and watch, as they straighten out of the turn SL on the outside there are two distinct short strides. Hugs a bit then runs again.
