How was nib? It just seems super suboptimal against a lot of matchups unless you draw 3 ht
One of my favorite cards this format! What makes nib bad is when you draw it alone but in combination with other hand traps is really good. I think people try to look at hand traps as ways to stop the opponent instead of cutting off what the opponent can have. My goals with hand trapping my opponents was never to end their turn but to cut off parts of their end board

I think it's fantastic, I would've included it here, but its a 1 of so you can't really rely on it.

Do you prefer handtraps or board breaker against Yubel ? Because you Said that breakers are not enough but hts dont seem good
That's the problem with Yubel. Both breakers and hand traps have major issues, so you really need to pick and choose which fit best with your deck and also how to use them with your specific hand.
I think generally you want all the good hands + some amount of breakers like talents or metaltronus to pair
@@LoganJohnsonYGO What if you play memento and you have 15 slots but you can't really play cards like phanta or bystial bacause of seahorse. I know that you and Lucas made a boardbreaker memento decklist without fiendsmith.

Whats the purpose of eva in the melodious deck? Like are you just triggering it with orange light or are there other combos?
Eva can also be used to discard for Bloom. Definitely not "needed" in the list, but I saw most new lists playing it, and I wanted to showcase it as an option

My friend built a tool for the exact ritual beast problem you posed (hard to do the math on 1.5/2 card combos) and the chance to play comes out at around 87.8% using your list and EdYGO's combo sheet, including help from prosperity. Without prosperity, the play chance is around 87.3%.
Board breaker purely has been playing really well for me against yubel and snake
I don't think it's fair to say Memento only has space for 12 non-engine when the list that you showed was playing double trap and double shleepy
Hey! The Double trap I think is considered pretty standard post banlist but Apophis could definitely be sided instead, the 2nd shleepy and a memento fusion could 100% be cut to fit 2 more non engine, I think the 2nd Shleepy is super important to keep your monster count higher for Bone Party/One for one/Memento Fusion.
Hey, great video! I wanted to ask if you could make a video about the next meta. Everyone is saying that Azamina will be the best deck, which I personally don’t think. I’d be really interested in hearing your opinion.

I can’t help but feel that Yubel will do well, but its overall representation will be held back by the fact that in my experience, the deck struggles to break boards with engine alone. So players may opt for a deck they feel gives them better odds going first or second, which I have to think is Fire King. 17 non-engine is very impressive, especially along side such compact engine. Maybe Fiendsmith can have an ED pivot to help going 2nd too, but without Lacrima I’m not sure if just Engraver can get to an Underworld Goddess or not anymore. So with that, I think the deck will sit at the top of Tier 1 for the best players, but it may not break that Tier 0 status.

Very insightful. There were a couple of things i saw and didn't understand in the video. 1. Only 1 engraver and nothing else from the package. 2. The golden ratio Can you explain these if possible. Thanks.
Hello, only 1 Engraver is needed to make any 2 bodies into Caesar. 2 Bodies>Moon>Requiem>Engraver>Equip Requiem>Make Necroquip Princess>Summon Back Engraver>Make Caesar The "Golden Ratio" was more of just a saying, because the # of non engine and engine were the same, basically saying you want a high number of starters and a high number of non engine, while being able to stay around 40-45 cards.
Very good insight. It's a shame that the Oregon regional was last format so I probably won't get a chance to attend a regional before ROTA drops.

Early on yes, I expect a lot. As the meta develops I expect it to move out of the metagame.
what would you call gates in your yubel build then?
Gates would be a "soft starter"/extender, depends on your list as well if you play Almirage
