This model is still being produced and still at $199. Poplar body, Amaranth fretboard. I bought a 2021 used for $75 USD that had Jackson KVX Active humbuckers put in it.

Love mine. Make sure the High E isnt on the bottom edge when you buy it.. This guitars neck took me from slow to Fast... Scrap the Strat ... This baby burns. Its the ticket I needed to start playing fast solos... Maybe Im a nerd idk.. I gave away my Mex strat and now all I need is this J22 and my Les paul for anything and every Genre. I may upgrade when I get super fast, but I doubt it. I have a more expensive Phil COllen Jackson , its just like playing a strat.... waste of 3,500 I will eventually sell it, I just like the looks lol . Oh you will need to roll the fret edges of the Dinky. Then you will love it..(Sub'd)

I carry this guitar with me in my car out in the heat I needed a good but under $200 practice guitar I couldn't risk my les Paul in case the heat or it got stolen so its perfect for lunch time practicing and if it gets messed up from the heat the truss rods in the neck are carbon fiber so its pretty easy to re adjust them great guitar tho

Js32 is more worth with floyd rose

With coil tapping, eg buy a coil tap volume knob, it can do anything.

I actually hated this guitar until I changed the factory strings.

I appreciate the videos, but jeez there's more to "metal" than solos. I mean that's like 1-2% of a metal song (unless it's that douchy stuff that's 95% soloing) Seriously every demo vid is the same thing. Dokken or solos. I wanna hear how Harvester of Sorrow sounds on this piece. Guess I gotta do it myself when mine arrives today.

I've heard the js24 is more versatile for different styles. It's mahogany and roasted maple . Although more expensive it looks like a better guitar than the js22.

I never put stickers on my guitar. It's like what Dave Mustaine said, "You wouldn't put bumper stickers on a Mercedes-Benz."

Funny thing, I started playing guitar 3 years ago and this was my first guitar. I have since bought a mark tremonti PRS and a Fender strat. The dinky is still the best playing guitar to me and the other 2 guitars are for sale so I can get a Pro series jackson.

The fact that it has a bolt on neck doesn't make it less expensive or lower quality 🙄

@D. Rosales Can you please do a review of the Gstyle 8 string? There's a fretless model of that guitar besides the right-hand model, and the left hand model on amazon. The Gstyle 8 string guitars on amazon are half of the price than a $399.99 Ibanez RG 8 string guitar. The Gstyle 8 string has a 26/12 inch scale instead of a 27 inch scale. Stay safe my friend! And keep it metal! Peavey rocks! Had my Peavey Vypyr for over 3 and a half years, and it hasn't given me issues. Durable amp that will last a long time! Let me know if you heard of the Gstyle 8 string! Definitely gonna save up my Christmas and birthday money, and get the guitar at the beginning of next year!
