ESR is one of the very few players that nobody hates, he's mercurial in his talents, was Arsenal's second top scorer in Arteta's first season and is starting to get back into the team and show what the entire fanbase is praying for every time he's on the pitch - for him to perform like we know he can!
He did that against Luton. Lets just hope he can do it again and get a medal round his neck, and a new contract on the table at the end of the season

how can i turn off those subtitles? Can't watch with those on, if we need subs we can turn them on ourselves. Forcing them onto the screen will turn people off, me included. Yea there are extremely few people like him left, with that level of football combined with a level of humility and work ethic to come with it. Being one of the best midfielders out there but having the right attitude is truly something to appreciate.

Video is 2+ months old. Back then he could improve: 1. passing ambition 2. driving at goal when advanced 3. clumsy touches in final third 4. attacking the goal more when on ball and back to goal 5. runs attacking 6 yard box for cut backs/balls across goal
Amazed that some fans don’t give players any time whatsoever to adjust from one clubs system to another clubs system. They expect them all to hit the ground running so what do they do if they need time????? Bash them. It’s like if you have a job from one company, move to another with a different system in place and are expected to excel right away. It’s unrealistic.
I don’t think adjusting to the system was the issue, it was confidence and quality early on. He was making the right runs early on, going towards the right areas, but decision making and technique in big moments was such a let down
@@GoonerCast I can somewhat agree to that. However, still need time to get to know players tendencies and they need to adjust to his. It takes time is my point. Rice is not the norm. Havertz, in my opinion, just needed more time. Most new players that join other clubs need a few months to start excelling. That’s all I’m saying. A lot of Arsenal fans just don’t give players any time at all and how much is paid for those players seems to be the reason. If Arsenal would’ve paid 25 million for Havertz, the bashing of him wouldn’t have been bad at all. Just my opinion.

I think it's fair to say havertz is not clinical at all, that 1v1 against Brentford was an absolute sitter. Having said that, he's scored the winner in a few games now just like he did this weekend. His work rate is immense, and at 6'2" he is fantastic in the air. I think it's fair to say that he's been a good signing, just not in the ways most would have thought
