It's very confusing that you use the term "float" so many times, since this word does not occur anywhere in the GMT rulebook for this game and therefore it took me a long time to search the PDF document to find the instructions on how and when you "float" a company. I believe GMT chose to use the word "Launch" instead because it is easier to understand than using professional stockbroker parlance. The word "Launch" occurs 12 times in the rulebook if anyone wishes to search for the relevant sections of the PDF version of the rulebook.

24:20 I read in 2nd printing this note "Not all track of a non-city tile must connect to a token of the placing corporation; just some of the new track being added[6.47 italics]". Does this apply to your example and would be legal placing the tile in both ways?

I recently played 1889 and really liked it. I will definitely play it again. However, I also wanted to try an 18XX game more focused on company building and a bit less focused on the stock market. I got wind of 1846 and bought it yesterday. Today, having watched through the entirety of this tutorial, I very much look forward to playing it. Thank you mr Brosius for this excellent turorial.

I spent a long time on the fence about this game, unsure of what it really was or what it brought to the 18xx experience. I’ve discovered that it is Tom Lehmann’s attempt to address what he felt were problems with the classic 1830 system while adding the thematic element of the time being the ‘race’ to connect the East and West. Lots of little changes to the classic system including the draft which adds a randomised set up element missing in 1830, phasing out trains (lets them have one last run), double jumps on the income track etc. I look forward to it.

I suggest changing the title of each chapter, so that it includes the topics covered. Easier to find what you want Sugiero cambiar título de cada capítulo, para que incluya los temas tratados. Más fácil encontrar lo deseado

Great video. I just bounced off my first game of 1889 through not following it all that well, but this video means I can go into our follow up game of 1846 much more prepared :)
