As someone who absolutely loved the season, as opposed to so much hate, you guys at the end discussion summed it up perfectly as to why this season kinda had to be a filler for the future and how well done it was despite its flaws but it absolutely does not justify the hate its getting for being a weak finale. thank you guys. ✌🏻

Yeah I'm confused how you guys especially, misinterpreted the Jace scene /: His legitimacy has been in question his entire life. He knows that him having a dragon is the only thing proving he should be heir in the eyes of the Realm. I don't think he truly believes his mother is willingly taking that aspect of his claim from him. It's just years and years of built up anger. I'm still support Rhaenyra but she knew the possibility of having sex out of wedlock could produce, and also how the realm views bastards. Yes, claiming these two dragons is the strategically right play, but Jaces' feelings are very very valid.

I feel like so many people don't get the point Jace was trying to make. Jace has been harassed by the greens and their supporters through his whole childhood because of his parentage. Having his own dragon, Vermax, was a reminder of his identity, that he actually is a legitimate Targaryen. But if any bastard could claim a dragon, what does that make him? He also has been saying through out this whole season how insecure he is about his legitimaty and how he wants to fight for it so he is seen worthy for the throne, so it's no surprise that he finally brought it up. What if those new riders just decide to switch up on them and want to have their own claim to the throne? What if Rhaenyra dies, Jace is her heir, will those men in her council and the rest of the realm that are loyal to Rhaenyra wanna fight for him? Those bastards have more Targaryen features than Jace and who is to say that the realm won't change their loyalty because of that. Let's not forget the fact that they now got dragons that are way larger than Jace's own, he would have no chance against them Also, his idea (in the show canon) was to get highborn people from houses who married within the Targaryens, not random people from the streets of Kings landing

Wait what? You guys really didn't get what Jace was talking about? He's a bastard, he knows it, the realm knows it and his only claim to being her legitimate heir is the fact he has a Dragon. What happens when another Bastard that looks more Targaryen than him and has a bigger Dragon decides they want to be King instead? He's already facing potential trouble if/when he gets to that point from his half-brothers Aegon and Viserys, her only legitimate children.

the kiss of mysaria and rhaenyra surprised me and finally they put rhaenyra with a little more personality and I like that. the scene of larys and aegon was crazy!!!!!! from my point of view the best of the episode. Tom was amazing but matthew left me in shock with his performance. 😱👏
