Omg the same thing has been happening to me. What I started doing is using my mielle leave in conditioner and a serum/polish and my hair has been doing so much better. Everything you said is spot on. I only use that moisturizer as a “gel” to give my hair hold otherwise no.

I’m so glad I’m seeing this because I’m relaxed and I want to grow my hair and I’ve commented on several videos on how do you put all this oil and lotion on your hair and it not be heavy and stiff lol thank you for this video

The use of the half and half technique was an unexpected surprise - I found only a very old video on this and still had unanswered questions. I like that you covered the steps from the relaxer all the way through to styling. I am planning to texlax my hair after 6 years natural. My hair has gotten very curly over time and now it pretty much only does one style. So, between my hair being fine stranded and very, very coily, I want to make sure that I have enough time to apply the relaxer, but not leave it on too long. It I was not sure about what to be after applying the neutralizer. I have seen a lot of fast and sloppy videos, but it is rare to see one where the proper technique is used. Nice work!

Try Moroccan Hair Moisture shampoo and hair mask. It is a excellent product. Can only get it in salon. I stopped buying store bought shampoo. Quality not as good.

You’re right. Too much moisture leads to hygral fatigue and that keeps the cuticles lifted and hair strands swollen… eventually weakens hair and breaks off. It’s best to use a good deep conditioner or mask once a week and the rest of the week just light hair oils / hair polish or a tiny bit of grease every few days. Till the next wash. My hair is at its best health now.
