Well farming in combat games is just going to where a specific enemy spawns and cycling any that spawns for specific drops In this game you could be like a monster gardener or farm hand and raise different monsters that you send to a sacrificial arena for final harvest Perhaps special events can crop up that affect each crop, form changing behavior, element, and drops, to having them escape their enclosure/field, pair up secretly with other monsters to make new ones, or just invade your house and slowly make their way to where you sleep off the night every day until they can invade your body/dreams

I too, hate it when I'm trying to plant mineral and it accidentally grows into cosmic horror and aiming to devour me. Ok but what if you play it as normal farming game but during harvest time all of your seeds will become sentient and start attacking you
