Thank you for posting this!! We have a big boy Malinois, he’s 3 yo, but he’s the sweetest dog! The only time he gets so excited is when my kid is around and he’s on her side allll the time, he’s so protective, when I train him, she does and he listen to her, also, waiting patiently for her to give him his treat and he takes it from her small hands without harming her NEVER, he’s a low drive Malinois and very good family member for us, he’s not like the dogs most of us seen being trained and aggressive, he’s a sweet boy, I’m planning on owning a Malinois in a near future and it’s going to be a son/girl from him, not from a stranger as he’s really unique and have a low temperament!
Ma sono un amore questo cane è fantastico ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
we have a GS/Mal mix and she is great. a wonderful companion, friendly with all people and animals, but extremely high maintenance. she goes everywhere with us and she is never alone, which is what a Mal really needs.
Stop repeating yourself
Mixed from German shepherd
why don't they just fly out?
For pet feeding people buy flightless or wingless fruitflies. The wingless kind were genetically modified to be like that and the flightless keep their wings (sometimes they can even regain flight in certain situations).
Hey, I really need this for ant keeping. Can you just drop a tutorial on how to make the aspirator? I know it's been four years, but it would be super helpful. 🙏
Hi there! I know it's been four years since you made this video, but could you please show us how to create that insect aspirator? I’d love to learn! Thank you!
Could you guide us on how to create an insect aspirator? I want a humane way to catch ants without risking squishing them with my hands. An aspirator would make this task so much easier and more effective. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
yo dude teach us how to buildf this
Thx for the video. Please don't let him chase deer.
i just use a 5oz deli cup, fill it with coco that's been soaked and squeezed then fill half-way and tamp lightly to allow natural burrow construction. the cool part about these guys is they'll always make the burrow against the side so you still get a good look at her and the babies. this species has a habit of being unmated when you find them, so try to collect some males too. that way you can try to breed them and avoid a brood of drones
I’ve noticed the entire video is about dart frogs but I don’t see any in the video
Great to see you back! I think the tank looks good, natural. But I would expect the table to be cleaned up before videoing. Welcome back Frank.😃👍
Here you get the raw uncut action, no pre-video tidying up 😅
@@frankharden8953 I do that as well sometimes. However, for my last vid I spent 3 months tidying up.🤣🤣
Hi there. I'm still here too. I hope you're still in Florida. I do miss your frogs. I lost all my frogs too and only have one tank that I may just keep the plants in til my life settles down again. How is your dog? Mine is now two and doing pretty good. Was a rough puppyhood. Glad that's over. I remember your tank. It inspired one of mine. And it's because of you that I got into bromeliads. Look forward to seeing you fix this up. I'm still hoping to get a Catopsis bertoniana since it's one of our natives if money allows. They are hard to find. Oh and don't worry about editing. I like these kinds of videos. And thanks for filming the right way.
My uncle keeps terribilis with awater feature, hes never had an issue
Coincidentally, 5-7 miles a day is what my 9yr old rescue german shepherd gets over 3 walks. Similarly he's very low aggression but he still has prey drive (used to catch rats at his previous home) and has tried to catch a toy breed dog in the park (this caught me off guard, our last dog caught rabbits regularly but could tell dogs from rabbits). Luckily he wasn't trying very hard and stopped when the other dog's owner stepped in front of him.
So adorable
Проорал в голос с команд на русском в конце. Штирлиц еще никогда не был так близок к провалу🤣
I just asked ant’s Canada for some advice he’s answered me before so I hope this works but I only have a water bottle so how can I deal with that and the queen live he was running around a a damp soil but I already know the basics about trap jaw ants but the biggest colony I have found had around 50-100 ants so I don’t really have an idea of what to do in the later days of the colony.
Hello ! How can I contact you about this ?
You just did 🙂
Thank you for this video! Your boy is very similar to my 18 month female Mal. She is the sweetest dog. I tell her all the tine that she's not a Malinois lol. My female GSD has triple her drive for protection but when it comes to puzzle solving or detection, my Mal wins hands down.
My mantis is a brown own could i use brown dead leafs for a natural look
He looks normal to me; everyone I've had is sweet. Not sure what you're seeing when he appears nervy around people. If I can watch what he's doing around people, I would know more, but he looks good and looks normal in every way. :)

beautiful dog
If you want to make that Belgian malinois a better Belgian malinois don't have the attitude that you own him be his battle buddy and he will be yours all day long so I have experienced this it. 😂
malligator at its best
Mine is so lazy like a labrador
I would put money on him eating a strangers face off if he felt his family or himself were threatened. Mals are smart and if he is confident normally then he just may innately understand when his protection is needed
The only species Ive found to be able to swim are epipedobates. Others have basically no swimming ability. There are MANY accounts of drowned dart frogs.
don’t want to admit they drowned huh
Well frogs can't drown, so that would be like saying one of the fish drowned.
I have a female mal. She has a nice temperament. The only thing I don’t like is that she barks and isn’t good in the car(barks at oncoming cars). She is so loving and wants to be by me all the time. Very protective of me and loves to play.
How do you figure specifically if a dog is low moderate or high drive?
I have pretty much the same malinois, female. She is almost perfect except for the chase of small animals and deer but I am working every day on her impulse control. She also doesn't tolerate happy dogs getting out of control over the top in her face so I have worked on that. It is funny though cos you think that 2 5k walks a day isn't that big of a deal (I do about the same) but then you talk to people and it blows their minds. There's a lot of lazy people out there, but you just kind of get used to doing it every day. I do also keep her a bit busy around the house with some obedience/scent training every day
Dart Frogs don’t like big bodies of water. They prefer a bunch of leaf litter, so give them more of what they want. There are lots of other issues with keeping dart frogs with water features other than drowning, which does, unfortunately, happen. They live in forests, not around ponds. Love your frogs, make their habitat for them, not for you.
They are born in bodies of water
Frogs evolutionary are adapted to deal with water some have become more terrestial than others, but they can handle it.
@@HumilityListens Most in leaf litter pools, tree hollows or broms. Very tiny bodies of water.
There was a video I saw once that I was told to show people that went on about this and to tell them to suck it.
What substrates do you like best for the trap jaw
Pretty much if the dog sees a threat, he will not engage with it, right?
so cool
nice
Thank you. Ive noticed alot of this fear in the hobby not just for dart frogs. When i got my leopard gecko i read all over to fear substrate because impaction. My leopard gecko has perfect husbandry. I have seen it eat substrate by mistake and it digests just fine! These animals have swallowed dirt for thousands of years. I think alot of problems arise from improper husbandry.
Thank you for using actual science within this video - I’m a biomed student who recently got into the hobby
What science?
(I’m going to annoy the whole dart frog community) hi guys!!! I’m gonna buy a fish tank and then in going to fill it up with water and put all the blue dart frogs and green dart frogs there so that they can swim together :D
We have an 15 month old malinator and she 's pretty chill too. I can't even call her a guard dog because she befriends everyone. But of course, I have to exercise her like any other dog.
Normal cement is okay? instead of portland cement?
my malinois does that jaw snap too when she's excited
What is the size of your test tube?
Hard to believe his prey drive has been switched off. My malinator can't do that when it comes to cats of the street.
I've caught a few odontomachus, sadly every one has died except one. I feed her small spiders about every few weeks and she hasn't laid eggs yet. do you think I should feed her more often?
Yes
I don't own frogs so I can't give any insight either way, but I do enjoy learning more about animals - do you know of any journals or studies that discuss swimming dart frogs? Though if I had to take a stance based solely off what I've heard and read, I would lean towards them being ok with water. Both with being amphibious, and to my knowledge, being from rather wet areas or places that experience a lot of rainfall?
