Hello, Finally my search for finding good tutorial on shopify theme app extension is stopped. :) i have one doubt in previous video you have shown animated button theme app extension . there how you have added backend settings i means button effect selection at shopify partner ..?? how that setting page added at backend to select effect and how that reflected at store front..?

A very important topic. A favourite of mine. I loved your analogy with the messy flat. Speaking of a clean flat there is a book which is called “Clean Code“ which every developer should read. Also on the topic about refactoring there is a book from Michael Feathers. Refactoring can be a good way to get familiar with new code. But as you mentioned it is also dangerous if there are no unit tests and the refactoring causes regression errors. You didn’t mention the most important thing when doing refactoring: You need unit tests which document the functions and make sure everything works as before the refactoring. Additionally use the IDE functions to analyse code flaws and which help with refactoring. Once in your developer life check out how Intellijs IDEs help with refactoring. To me refactoring is one of the most exiting tasks. Coding is easy, but designing software is a challenge.

This is gold! Exactly what I needed. One note though, I'm using Windows and I could not run the "npm run dev -- --reset" script. Took some time to figure it out, but the problem was that I ran the command in PowerShell. When I used another terminal, it worked!

I can't see how this substitutes the script tags. I can add a script tag using the GraphQL api and my code will run wihtout the need of customize the theme. For theme extensions we are going to need to add the block. Is it possible to change the behaviour of the search input for example?

And I solved the "environments" problem creating a theme app extension for each of my three environments, but removing each one and only keeping the .env file. So I have extension.dev.env extension.staging.env extension.prod.env And I replace the content of my .env with some of them.

I disagree, both are declarative, but the second is written in more functionalish style. Declarative approach is used in rxjs, if instead of declarativeFunc you had written a declarativeArray what is an Observable with filter pipe it would be declarative
