Always awkward when you've got a hedge next to a fence
Do you not have employees? What happens if you get injured or become ill?
Great work scott. Quick question scott how are you finding the battery equipment reliability wise. I'm starting out and planning on buying a km94r but thinking the battery gear would be very handy to have at some point. Thanks very much
@@williamfaulkner5506 battery hedge cutters are very good and the batteries last long but the blowers and strimmers use lots of batteries so it is a big investment if you need them to run all day.
@scottellwoodgardening287 thanks very much for the feedback Scott. Very much appreciated
We like you, try and give no reason for a customer to wonder where we are. Progressive

@@thegeordiefellwalker8878 thanks mate the 135 is very powerful.
The 86 is great for those wide hedges👍👌
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd could do with being a metre longer 😂🙈
Great video Scott, how do you find the HLA 86 to manage as it looks huge when extended. Been a subscriber to your channel for a long while now, it’s great to see a fellow gardeners channel doing well and someone else that isn’t afraid of some hard graft 😊 All the best mate JP
@@JP_livingthedream Hi JP thanks and just subbed you too. The 86 is ok even fully extended it is manageable.
@ Thanks ever so much mate, top man 👍🏻👍🏻

laurel never been my favourite scott.good to see you just steady away health 1st 👍
@@thegeordiefellwalker8878 you’re right there mate. Thanks.
Heres a true story. A couple years ago I trimmed a large laurel hedge took about 5 hours? very thick and quite tall, 10ft in places. After cutting it i got home, ate dinner and started to feel sick, made myself throw up a handle of times which is very unpleasant in itself. Got some relief, but strong stomach pain soon returned. I had a very uncomfortable sensation in my belly, got in a warm bath to get some relief, didn't work. Laying down made pain worse but too weak and wobbly to stand. I found milk and a few anti acids where a God send and basically stopped the pain. This happened before on the same hedge but no where near as bad. The second time I clicked and wondered if I had cyanide poisoning. Cyanide will cause sickness. Last time I trim that hedge!.
@@kanhdahar2 until I researched plants I didn’t realise how many are actually toxic. We have to be so careful.
@@scottellwoodgardening287 it was warm and the sun was vapourising the freshly cut laurel fumes and no wind, i think i was breathing lots of cynanide.
@ lucky escape then.
Hi Scott, lovely to see you back and on the mend. Hoping you can give me some info on the Stihl RM756YC which you reviewed and owned. I bought one off the back of your review a couple of months ago. Really pleased with it especially how well it performs with cutting and bagging wet grass and leaves. The bag is full every time. A couple of questions. 1. Did you find it quite slow in terms of pace compared with other mowers? 2. Was the pneumatic gearbox quite noisy? Hope you are able to remember that far back? Thanks either way. Terry
@@K4crasher hi Terry, thanks I’m much better. Yes the mower is slow and I think that’s down to the better pick up performance as etesias are the same. Mine wasn’t really noisy so you may need a second opinion on that.
@@scottellwoodgardening287 Many thanks.
The little wonder walk behind is better as the leaves are directed down into the collection bag, which prevents you getting wet too.
Tidy Job Scott! I fancy some smaller hedge trimmer I only use the long reach on a Kombi engine
@@HARRYFOSTER. thanks Harry. The smaller ones are great to have in the van for smaller jobs.

Great video how's the little chipper going really interested in buying one
@@tombelbin2303 thanks mate it’s had its teething problems but it is fine now. Going to do a follow up video shortly.
Think they could do with adding one more cut a year to the contract…? I’m never keen on doing laurels, but the ‘r’ variant Stihl kit really does help with the slower speed and bigger teeth gaps. Nice to see a new video!
@@johnb8956 thanks mate and yes it could do with 2 a year but on this job money is tight.
@@scottellwoodgardening287 yeah I know how it can be with some clients. With the seasons seeming to stretch out ever further I think more and more is going to start becoming necessary. Until today we’ve seen temps in double figures consistently for the last fortnight at least! Would be good to see some leaf clearing and billy goat action if you get the chance?
@ yes the seasons are getting inconsistent now. I’ve had the Billy goat out this week actually just been busy so not managing footage. May get some next few weeks as trees are hanging on to leaves still.
Hi just got power secateurs einhell very handy
@@glynrogers1018 they’re great to use mate. The days you go back to secateurs your arm hurts though 😂
Love the van smelling of almonds when its full of laurel😅 glad you're feeling better mate but still taking it easy 👍
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd 😂 thanks mate.
I agreed with the laurels, definitely one of the trickiest to trim, I always have to get the shears out to finish them off
@@Jordan.E yes me too mate.
Hey. Please can I ask, do you think you could cut grass regularly with one these. I mean is the finish good enough for like say an orchard that gets cut fairly regularly. I have a customer who has an orchard which he likes to keep cut but also some large steep banks to do every so often. Cheers. Jay
@@jayharper650 it would cut the orchard and banks but if it was say fortnightly the finish wouldn’t be as good as mulch mowers. You could speak to grillo and get a demo on the site and it would give you a better idea.
