I ADORE Richard O'Brien's performance in this movie. He is unsettling and alien, just like all the other Strangers, but he really captures that odd sense that this one yearns to be more than it is. (Also, another weird coincidental plotting decision shared with The Matrix where both films have bad guys who dress identically, but one of them doesn't like the existence they've been forced into.)

Crazy to think that they went from Bana Hulk original story to Ultimate Hulk origin story with Norton and Ruffalo In Ultimate universe, Banner test on himself because he wants to be the super soldier after being bully all his life even by NICK FURY, obviously goes wrong not only by formula but by mental SAME as the movie of Captain America say about it. If Banner is dumb "evil" Hulk is just dumb and later in Ultimates he inyect with the formula + Captain America blood (because they discover him) And goes full EVIL HULK grey rampage and kills 800 people Imagine that on a Disney movie, The two Avengers movie go to that direction with Africa BUT THEN THEY MAKE HULK A CGI JOKE not only in Avengers 3 and 4 but Ragnarok 😂

God, how I love this scene and this movie! Why are there so few films like this with Richard? I love him) He absolutely managed to convey all the features of Mr. Hands, it turned out very natural, very cool and realistic. This is one of his wonderful roles. And sometimes I feel so sorry for Mr. Hand... If it weren’t for the maniac’s memories, almost a man could emerge from him, at least for a short time.. Thank you for video. This film is my one love)

Mr. Hand is ultra creepy.

Scenes like this are a sure sign that the director loves his project. You don't need this scene for the plot, but Proyas realized it would be fascinating to see these 2 characters cross paths. Besides Mr. Hand's angst over his alien nature, it's so interesting that he's become a monstrous serial killer, yet he doesn't want to hurt Emma. It shows how much that romance meant to Murdoch even after he became a killer, and it shows that Mr. Hand envies not only individualism, but the capacity for love too. And it's a rich feeling when a film gives its characters breathing room for a thoughtful conversation like this, instead of shoving everyone through the plot.

Fucking love this scene so much, by far my favorite scene in this entire movie. I love how they just set aside a little moment for these two characters to interact and to give the antagonist more depth. They didn't have to do it, but they did.

I was too young to pick up on this scene when I originally saw the movie. Mr. Hand intensely dislikes his own existence, and by this point he’s been imprinted with Murdoch’s memories and gotten the slightest taste of humanity/individuality. His motivation is really just for himself... which is a very human thing, ironically
