In the good old days when common sense wasn't illegal, you were allowed right to the end of platforms, there is no good reason for that to be banned, its just an arse covering thing to stop people jumping under trains, like that sign will stop them. Surely on special occasions such as this discretion can be used?

This is why I don't bother filming at stations - I just go to a railway bridge or a park and film the trains from there. I'm not saying I disagree with the staff member, but I just don't have the patience with all the rules and seeking permission to literally just video a train as I'm passing through, etc.

This video should be entitled "Trainspotters think the safety signs don't apply to them". They were busted, accept the authority with dignity, don't go crying like an entitled little girl.

Everyone in the comments are saying that it wasn't a jobsworth because they were standing beyond the signs, but they ofc only did it cause the chopper was there. If there were nothing speical there and a spotter was standing beyond that point then fair enough but they only did it for a speical train, and that idiot abused his power.

How is it jobsworth when they went beyond the point seriously he was just doing his job this isn’t jobsworth this is a false accusation

and here we have yet more knobhead "enthusiasts" who think they suddenly have the right to access all areas! It complete twats like these who spoil it for everyone else. Will be interesting to see what they start saying when network rail and the TOCs decide to throw them off the station, and NO!.....they dont have a right to be there! Its private property!! May the proper enthusiasts should start stepping in and giving them what for!!
