OH my..!! Coming across this amazing song after more than 20 years. I used to listen to it as a teen on my Walkman on my way to university. Although I was a metalhead, I loved it secretly. What's more, I recorded on a cassette after waiting many days to be played on the radio ... regrettably, I didn't know at that time what the band was or what the song was.

Collective Soul's 'The World I Know' brings back memories of my mom. When I was 6 in 1997, I'd beg her to play Spice Girls instead she would always give in and play my Spice Girls Casette lol, but now, at 33, I understand why she loved this song, After she passed in 2005, I bought the CD a couple years ago as a keepsake. Whenever I play it, I try to hold back tears and I crack a little smile. I get why she loved it. This was one of her favorite bands. 💙

Me recuerda a mi hijo este video el hablaba perfectamente el idioma Inglés. y me traducía la letra de la música a el le encantaba esta música en MTV. En los 90 lamentablemente el murió en el 2002.y solo tenía 22 añitos. 😢😢😢😢😢😢 Así que cuando escucho esta y otras músicas de estos grupos de aquel tiempo yo me pongo a llorar mucho. Que nostalgia!! I got into this song when my friend Suzanne told me about it when it came out; how it affected her and the emotions it elicited. I had heard it myself of course, but she made me listen to it in a new light. And now, like her, I cry tears of joy when I listen too! It's a powerful song with a simple rhythm.

This song has been on my play list of whatever kind, tape, radio, CD, streaming, etc. since 1995. Like a wonderful movie I watch over and over again, this video never ceases to comfort me. It is a timeless message, lyric and performance that never gets old. I love these guys - can't wait to see them in concert when they get out here to the west coast of US! (have even thought of traveling to IN to see them this tour...why not?!?)
