This album shoots serotonin into my brain 🧠 💚 lol It reminds me of early 2000's music on YT like Nightcore. But also like this album has lyrical meaning and depth which is so nice.

the theory I buy for Von Dutch is that it's directed at Azelia Banks. I don't think it's a clincher, but "mad because the bank's closed" kinda sounds like a subliminal, and there's a lot of other circumstantial evidence.

In my opinion, Jersey Club doesn't have as much of a influence in BRAT as it may seem. I think Charlie had her eyes set on the techno subgenre of rave music especially when crafting Club Classics and Everything Is Romantic. That seems more aligned with her cultural background and with the stuff that has informed a substantial part of her career up to now. It so happens that Jersey Club is currently the most mainstream representation of a techno-(thinly)inspired sound, which can lead to the conclusion she was aiming at it when truly not.

SOPHIE had a really good album come out in 2018 called "Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides" which is a really experimental, electronic album if you ever want to react to her. But, if you would like to react to pop-ish albums that are unique in their specific ways like this one, you should react to Caroline Polachek's "Desire, I Want To Turn Into You", Kelela's "Raven", and/or Lorde's "Melodrama."

It got sooooo popular by word of mouth and on the internet it was re-released as an album after drake was signed. And this was after Kanye and lil Wayne had a bidding war for drake. Drake could have originally been on G.O.O.D. Music and not cash money/yung money. That’s initially what started beef with pushes t and drake yearssss ago btw. Say what’s real is a direct is a sample of Kanye west’s “Say you will” which is on “808’s and Heartbreak”. Not Yeezus but 808s lead to Yeezus which began the fall of Kanye and rise of drake. Before this mixtape he did one called “comeback season“ it was full of j dilla beats, songs with phonte, slum village etc. drake tricked hip hop heads like me back then and shape shifted into this weirdo pdf guy. He had so much promise to be Kanye reloaded.
