Proformance driving school is a really good place to get started if you want to take your car to the track. I did their class .. and then returned to get my "sports" license .. and now I'm enjoying driving laps at Pacific Raceways .. which is a great track and lot's of fun. I am going back to Proformance driving school in a few weeks to take their new "drag racing" class. Why not?

A hot trip for ono .. it was hot from the time I got there in late October till mid-November .. when the water temp started dropping. By the way .. canned ono is as good as canned albacore.

Fishing the warm smooth (usualy) waters of Kona in my 17' Arima with Lucky Dave. Dave comes every year and brings more luck than anybody else. This trip we caught two spearfish (yummy), a mahi-mahi, and a striped marlin that had orange meat (marlin candy). Come again .. Dave.

Beauty!
Almost watched it...but the music was so stupid...couldn't
My fishing buddy and we’re fortunate enough to fish rivers inlet in the mid ‘70s. Of the12 in the party 7 fish were caught over 3 days. My partner took 3 , 39 ,9,7 lbs I took 2,38,35lbs the Luther’s took 2 ,7 , 8 lbs. it really paid to have knowledge
I'm interested in knowing more about your landing craft ? who built it ? (brand name ) whats the length and beam ? what size is the outboard on it ? It looks like a great multi purpose boat.
The music ruined this for me.
Woohoo!
I see Arima, I click like
Great job boys!!!
My friend, WW2 veteran Capt Jack, told me that in his 45 years as a charter skipper in Kona .. he never hooked a mako shark. Apparently it is a very rare thing. Yahoo.
Very cool!
Nice Mako Captain!
Hey Easy, Like your boat. wanted to know if you think the Arima 19 would be a better choice if fishing the Hilo side of the island as I know it is a bit rougher?
Definitely rougher on the east side of the island. 19 foot better. Try rapala 20 plugs for Ono .. mahi color works for me.
Now I know what song 🎶 to play.
Very nice, looks like so much fun. Good job If you ever need a deck hand I'm there , ha ha
Yay Paigey doodle bug!
Where do you guys launch you boat? I have a house down in Miloli'i and fish from there. Hopefully Ill see you guys out there in April.
Live in Ocean View, launch out of Keahau.
Omg
I’m always looking forward on seeing how other Arima owners set up their boats. I have a 17’ Sea Chaser as well and I am planning on adding outriggers. What is the length of your outriggers? Are the aluminum, fiberglass or carbon fiber? Thanks
Great catch. The OGs showing it how’s it’s done. Great Video !!
I’m looking for a boat, and have been looking for a boat that is capable offshore but light enough for my Tacoma. Don’t see many arimas in Hawaii. Might have to get one shipped. I live in Hilo side. Nice fish man.
This is sad to watch. Hope person recovered. Sad price tag!
... and that is why you buy the insurance ... it may only cover the first transfer from the ship ... but that is the most expensive one ...ask questions b 4 u buy ...
That is a Search and Rescue (SAR) helicopter of the Royal Canadian Airforce a CH149 Cormorant Helicopter not a Coast Guard helicopter. Canadian CG helicopters are Red and White. That helicopter will be from 442 Squadron based in Comox British Columbia. There is NO CHARGE for calling out the Search and Rescue team to provide life saving assistance. They would have been dispatched by the SAR co-ordination center who would have received a request from the ship that they need to medivac a person to provide timely life saving medical treatment. Any charge the individual received (if any) would have been from the ship not the Canadian Government or the Canadian Military. The crews find these type of SAR missions very rewarding. When we arrived back at base after dropping the patient off at a hospital or a field to a waiting ambulance we knew we had done something positive.
Thanks for the info, it was amazing to watch.
We were on this cruise as well and watch this unfold.
Scary
Not the coast guard! Search and Rescue in Canada is the Royal Canadian Airforce. There is no cost for a rescue in Canada. If the patient was charged it was done by the ship.
That is good to know. Thank you.
...key word IN Canada ...
I'm sure the great Canadian Taxpayers had a hand in some form of payment in one way or another.
😢
That's so scary you just never know what life is going to deal you.If you do have insurance does it cover the coast guard?
Don’t know, check with insurance company before traveling.
@@pattywillis9447 yes of course I live in Canada so won't be doing any travelling right now.I always got travel insurance thru Caa even crossing the border to shop. Its so important
Regular insurance won’t cover this but travelers will. Always get travelers insurance and make sure it says medical evacuation coverage. I heard this costs around $80,000.
... if say the chopper drops you off at a heart hospital ...and you needed a broken foot doctor...you might have to pay for the second transfer ... but in both cases you needed to be airlifted ... ask questions you never know how shore excursions will really end up ... but get insured it may cost you an extra hundred ... but your spending that on one night stay the night before the ship left ...
I was right there, watching this. I hope the person is ok
Did anyone ever find out what happened to the passenger? The same thing happened on my recent cruise (Saturday). Someone was airlifted Sat night and we were arriving to the Miami port Sunday morning. I’m still wondering what could have happened but I’m sure it was severe if they couldn’t wait to get to port the next morning.
No we never found out. We were docking the next morning also.
Nice fishing, good job. Arima is looking great.
nice fish guys! Are you south of Hilo? Beautiful out there.
Been wondering hows is arima boats handling in hawaii waters? How do you like it any feedback would be appreciated. Im thinking of shipping one sea chaser/ranger 19 or 17
The beauty of fishing in Kona is the protected waters. Two 14,000 foot mountains block the normal east to west trade winds. 90%of the time a 17 foot boat is plenty big enough. But a 19 foot boat would be better.
Are you guys still fishing Kona waters ? Thinking of shipping my Arima here ( Kona )
I fish Kona from October thru April. I shipped my 17' Aerima from Seattle to Hilo for $4,500 about 3 years ago.
Love the way he holds the rod . Like he’s reeling in a walleye!
He just loves firing that pistol.
Nice fishing video , great catch . Best of all your on an Arima !
awesome!!!
Very cool, what time of year was this?
What size Arima do you have? Looks fun!
Hey Capt Easy, what kinds of lures do you find most effective? I'm starting out ono fishing.. great vids...keep em' coming! Oh, and what months are the ono around?
I only live in Hawaii 6 months a year .. from Nov thru April .. so best months for me are Nov and April .. when the water temp is over 80 degrees. I imagine all summer long would be great. Oh well. I find the rapala size 30 plugs work best for me in mahi or silver colors. Always put 30 inches of wire above your kures. Go get 'em!
How big and what kind of boat you have
What's your horsepower on your kicker and how fast will it push your boat?
How big is exactly is your small boat
Don't you want to keep your motor going keep pressure on the fish
Great work and awesome ono, love fishing kona side❤️
Nice video with the kid love your boat have an Arima also great boats.
how long did the fight last on the penn 4/0?
Watch it Brad! It's worth the 100 bucks!
Great video friend
