H4 is the pup and custom station in jordan wenn you driving to saudi . Thats the old tour over the desert . now they habe motorway from Jordan to saudi.

I was driving the Douglas Freight Volvo with the big belly tank, about two and a half minutes in. We were delivering pre fab hoses for Saudia to Al Khobar for Westyield homes in Kent. A large American pilot said 'Jeez, these things are tiny, I'll need one for me and one for the kids!' Douglas then shipped trailers into Iskenderun in Southern Turkey and we ferried them to Al Khobar. I crossed the 25 miles of sand from H4 to Turaif many times. I was lucky and never got stuck. Great stuff Bjorn. So glad to find this record of my youth! That's my Volvo at 45 seconds. I worked for Douglas Freight in the Isle of Man. We shipped trailers into Iskenderun, so I crossed H4 many times in 1976. I'm glad to say I never got bogged down!
