Ahhhh such a gorgeous podcast! I found your channel after Aida posted on her Instagram about your review. I've definitely added the Jule Jacket to my rav queue, but at the moment I'm knitting the Forester Cardigan by Enda Taylor in a rich swampy green. Today is the first day I've felt the coolness of Autumn in the air, and the trees are tipped with orange. It's such an exciting time of year -- hope your autumn preparations are going well too!

Lovely, lovely catch up episide❤. I was knitting on the 2nd sleeve of my Dune Cardigan… am soooo excited to get it done and wear it🎉. Using Drops Belle, very nice to work with. The Jule jacket 😮😊. Gorgeous. I want to make the Jenny Jacket soon but first I need to work through some more stash yarn. The baby jacket too…. Adorable. So cute. You are a wonderfully sweet gift knitter and I am so happy you received some gifts too. Beautiful yarns. I laughed out loud when the bit of straw or whatever startled you, very cute reaction. I think with 1 skein of merino you could make a hat or some fingerless mitts, if the yarn is soft enough. Have a great beach vacation!!

❤ I do the same with the Fisherman’s wool holding it double. Being 100% wool, over time it will develop worn areas. Catch them when thin before holes appear! You should have plenty leftover yarn for darning. My brother’s pair have been darned once at the 2 year mark and he wears them daily on his wood floors about 9 months a year. I am ready to make Inga’s sock pattern soon! Love your videos 🫶

I got a ball of the King Cole cotton sock yarn recently. Glad to hear a good reviews of it from you. Would be my first cotton sock. Now just to find the right pattern for it. Glad your knitting is going so well with all your great projects. Lol always have a smile when you tell your loved ones to please stop watching when you talk about your gift knits and the sweet "love you" you tell them.

Hi Ally! Nice to see you again and hear what you’ve been up to 😊. I am really, really enjoying being back in the US and having a large, well stocked local library. I honestly spend hours a week in there, checking out the diy books on home maintenance(house I moved into needs some repairs), native plants for gardening, knitting resources and of course just books. Right now I’m enjoying the Ruth Galloway mystery series by Elly Griffiths - loner academic type woman (forensic archaeology) finds herself involved in helping a local police detective solve cases….. they are fun.

Ally! Oh my goodness!! Soo… many cute socks! 🥰 Your family will love theirs! I will be knitting felted slippers for my peeps for Christmas. They love them. You have made a lot of progress on your blankets and they look great! I have a chronic mitered-square throw I am using leftover sock yarn for. I’m also working on a ten-stitch blanket out of the brown yarn I frogged from my brioche cardigan that was too small. It was frustrating learning brioche but at least now I feel accomplished in that. Currently my time is devoted to learning to spin yarn. I love, love, love it! I hope you do make stuffed animals. I have always wanted to do that. Love your yarn for the 10 can knits. Now I have to get that pattern/app! It sounds amazing 🤩. ❤❤❤this video.

I knit socks with the dinner mints color way too and mine is not as yellow. But I also got colors from then that completely didn't look like the online picture. Still pretty though.

I loved all the socks this episode! I also have my sock mojo going right now, though that might be because of Summer Sock Camp 2024! If you haven't joined yet, I definitely recommend it. It's been so great talking to other sock knitters and seeing everyone's sock projects!

Was lovely to sit with you in your backyard today, so peaceful ❤. So cute how Simon stood up to start investigating right as you said you hoped he wouldn’t get into any trouble 😂. I knit the size M Watch Cap for my son using Drops Lima. He has very poufy hair, but it ended up stretching waaaay too much (possibly also due to high Alpaca content) after just one season of wear. I’m considering either washing it in hot water to shrink it a bit or frogging it and re-making in the size S. Maybe one of your viewers has a suggestion?? Does Alpaca shrink up well?? Also, would love to hear your Drops pattern experience with the little baby pants. I’ve heard Drops patterns can be confusing. Did you find this so? I love how you improvise a bit on your projects, that makes them even more personal. 😊 happy knitting!

Hi Ally, nice to see you again…. I’m knitting lots from stash 1. Because I’m moving and it would be ridiculous to buy more stuff that needs to be moved and 2. Because I’ve had some of the yarn so long it was starting to bother me. Have no brain space to show anything in a knit along, but know I am with you and Martina in spirit… taking little knitting breaks from work and packing. ❤

I know you are in California... So it probably doesn't get too cold there. Where I am it hailed today... however my suggestion is the Alder Sweater by Rebecca Clow. I am infatuated with it right now and almost finished. Obviously, the weather is taking it's sweet time here... but I thought once I was finished with this one I might try to knit it in a cotton so its lighter and possibly has more drape.

I will be moving house soon - all the more reason to not purchase new yarn and sm currently knitting only from stash. It’s a fun challenge… and I bit dismaying to see how long some of the yarn has been in stash. Also… how I now realize there were so many things I didn’t know about yarn when I purchased it 😏. I think today I would make different choices, but I’m still happy to use what I have.

oh, this KAL comes at the perfect time! I have a not so small amount of yarn in my stash from a few years ago when I just started knitting and had no idea what I was doing which, now that I know better/more, don't actually like to make into garments anymore. I've been meaning to turn that into one of those scrappy crochet baskets! the crochet sets are so cute! especially with the matching crochet hooks but also the clothes!
