How was the daily driving like with the 6 paddle clutch?…did the pedal feel any heavier over the stock dmf clutch?

I did exactly the same job on my daughters Vauxhall Adam. She was driving it and the wishbone snapped out of the subframe. Fortunately she was pulling out of a junction so wasn’t too bad. Turns out there had been a recall on these due to poor materials at manufacture. If you’re buying a corsa or Adam you’re gonna need to properly check the subframe and connected Components. I couldn’t remove the roll bar bushes even though I bought new ones. They weren’t bad so I left them. Biggest ballache was exhaust bolts. Even with plenty of heat they sheered. Had them drilled and replaced.

Hope this helps abit of advice coming from someone whose partners dad has american cars in UK, they cost a fortune to keep on the road 😅 most have been bodged due to no mot, alot are rusty, they drink fuel more than super cars 8-10 mpg max easy to go through £100+ fuel on weekend and you cant use uk fuel without additives unless they have had the valve seats done etc, for simple parts you need a bank loan because they are very hard to get hold of mainly have to import from states example fuel gauge sender for cadillac costed him £450. Do your research best you can on any car your looking at, me personally selling the corsa for one big mistake, if you had spare money sure 👍

EDIT: I've searched for the part number from your video and apparently it's a VW gearshift lever, however if I then search for a general "gearshift lever" in order to find out more, all the results show me the usual gearshift stick from the inside of your car, which you use while driving. I'm a bit confused right how :)

What type of engine is your pd is it blt?

Vectras are weird. The most average big sedan you can find. Which makes it great for daily driving. If something happens to it, you can replace it for cheap. If you have a chance to get your hands on the V6 model, it's worth giving it a try.

Does it allow using the existing manual buttons? Especially can you switch for example the language on the monochromatic screen with it?

Is the original rear camera working with this radio?

Does this work for the ibiza 6l FR 1.8T BJX engine code as well? In theory it should but i couldnt find any concrete info online, the ibiza 6l cupra 1.8t has the same engine setup and the front intercooler.. cheers man

There does seem to be a common theme with the D VXR's about the P4 failures and the chocolate gearboxes but IMO if they're looked after and not ragged, the car should be fine. Great vid!
