Aloha! Welcome to one of the TH-cam Channels of very cool vintage & new elevators in the State of Hawaii & in other states too if I have the chance to travel!
Ever since I was a younger kid, I started to have an interest in elevators based on how fast they move like roller coasters & since I do like vintage things in general, I even enjoy vintage elevators.
I do take public transportation which is a blessing to rely one if we don’t drive yet or for other essential things too.
It’s a pleasure being on TH-cam and I hope things go well for you all!
I’m always happy to fellowship & be there for those that are struggling with depression, anxiety, feeling lonely & are diagnosed with either ADHD, ASD, ADD, Tourette Syndrome, Aspergers or any other types of conditions.
I myself have ASD & Tourette Syndrome too so y’all aren’t the only ones out there!

That's an OTIS, you're fine.
You’re not wrong. Otis Elevator Company does maintain their elevators well, however, these ones are maintained by KONE & because of age, we believe it’s time for these elevators to be modernized.

@@HiGoochieMama Good question. Let’s just say, the signs of age caused them to break so many times. Glad they’re finally replacing them. As soon as Kone is done modernizing the Mauka parking elevator, they NEED to mod the rest of the elevators ESPECIALLY WAI MAKAI!

uses AAN-B, the older Mitsubishi voice the Moana Surfrider hotel (modernized) elevators use AAN-G, the newer Mitsubishi voice

@@springweb It may get modded soon. We would hope it lasts for at least a few more years.

That is correct!
Elevator P11 was previously an Otis LVM (Series 1) Hydraulic elevator
once modernization finishes we will for sure miss these epic sounding Mitsubishi GPM-III motors, but idk if they would keep the motor or not
@@springweb We sure are! 😭 Sadly, I think the motors are going to be replaced.
Is the Mitsubishi, the ones where there is a panel at the lobby and you just press YOUR floor and wait til one of the 6 elevators goes to the lobby and signals that its your elevator.....The grey tall tower makai of District court downtown, and the Financial tower on Merchant St and Alakea (makai/kkhd one) and at 2222 Kalakaua Ave, Duty Free office tower has installed these.

Glad you asked! Because of horrible signs of age, these are 99.9% about to be replaced/modded by Mitsubishi where sadly, the motor & the original controllers are going to go. During around late 2020 - early 2021, the other elevators that serves the 6-story towers were all already modernized which means these ones including the service ones would be next in line which is unfortunate at the same time but the hotel does need it.

Yikes. Also, Pesca is not that great to eat at. I wouldn’t really go again. High prices. Mid food. Aging elevator. Only the view is good.
@@HiGoochieMama I appreciate you telling me that before me & buddy both get ripped off LOL! We really miss the previous elevator when Sarento’s was there, Otis mod by custom Dover. I rode it once in 2017 before the restaurant closed when me & my Mother went there for a lunch happy hour. The new one is NOT GREAT!
@@hawaiiskylineandelevators4115 Oh ya, that’s right, they have lunch specials that are more fair. But I still think they don’t give enough food for what you pay. The Signature has better prices and food during happy hour. I would definitely go back there.

They got to fix all of the Old Elevators and replace them with New ones because those elevators are aging like shit so PearlRidge fix and renovate your mall
@@ChristianGammad-yf1rq I AGREE! The good news is that KONE (the elevator company that maintains the elevators there) is starting to modernize the Mauka wing parking elevator. Some should be decommissioned in my opinion.

Good question… I guess you got to contact security just to open an elevator that could’ve easily been unlocked. I guess it’s considered a freight elevator too.
