RunningFree86 at Drift Cadet Calder Park | AE86 4AGE DRIFT
Back in April I travelled down to Calder Park to check out the one and only Kaicho aka Mr RunningFree86 at Drift Cadet's Sunday Session at Calder Park. Being my first visit to the track I didn't realise how far away from the action the spectators area is which led to my footage not being very good. I decided though it still deserves its chance to be seen so with liberal amounts of zoom applied here we are!
It was truly inspiring watching Kaicho's driving style in a car that was certainly not in the best condition. I think it'd be great if Drift Cadet fixed the car up a bit so all the international drivers can really show us what they can do :)
You might also notice the Car Shop 29 tag in the corner - this is a brand I am trying to start up but more about that in a future video!

REV GP ROUND 1 2023 | Drifting my R32 at Revolution Motorpsorts New Competition Series!
มุมมอง 226ปีที่แล้ว
Last month I competed in Revolution Motorsport's new series the Rev GP. The Rev GP will take place at Raleigh International Speedway and Queensland Raceway's Drift Playground over four rounds in 2023. The series is aimed at giving grass roots drivers a place to compete at a professional level. I think that the Rev boys did an excellent job with the event and I'm super keen to do some more - pre...

The final Wakefield Drift Day? Rev Session January 2022

I upload videos in a timely manner and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Anyway I finally got round to throwing a few clips together from what I sincerely hope was not the last ever Wakefield Park drift day. As usual the Revolution Motorsport boys put on a killer event, showcasing the best grass roots drifting the state has to offer. The track was full of cars all day as was the pit wall whi...
Wakefield Drift Day August 2021 | Drifting with 'Reverse' Knuckles for the first time
มุมมอง 1933 ปีที่แล้ว
Footage from the last drift day I went to back in August. This was the first time running the Reverse Knuckles by Boostar 69 that I bought and it was a real struggle to drive the car compared to the stock knuckles I had before! Very keen for some more drift days so I can try to get used to the car as right now I am struggling in it a lot.

Drift Night @ Sydney Motorsport Park | Getting used to my Sil80
มุมมอง 813 ปีที่แล้ว
Back in May I took the Sileighty to SMSP for it's first proper run after Hi-Tec at Winton. I changed the rear springs to a more normal 6kg instead of the 8kg's which helped make the car feel a lot more normal. Unfortunately though I kept constantly locking up both my front tyres mid drift and flying off the track which must have looked pretty retarded from the outside! Since then I have changed...

My video from the April 2021 Drift Day held by the Australian Drift Club. Thanks to the amazing Chloe for the outside video and the use of her GoPro :) For once there is no terrible wind noise so you can enjoy my car singing with no music slapped over the top of it. Motor is essentially stock with just a RB25 turbo and a Power FC tune. Peak power is a staggering 168KW :)

ADC SMSP Drift Day | South Circuit On-Board Drifting (with pedal cam!) 25 October 2020
มุมมอง 7984 ปีที่แล้ว
Last weekend I got to drift SMSP's South Circuit for the first time since 2013! This was the first even to use the new extra corner layout and it was amazing fun. My favourite part was the long run up down the straight and into turn one but the initial few corners were good for tandem practice too. Since it was supposed to rain all day I decided to buy a helmet mount for my GoPro and I'm glad I...

So I have the same car and I’m wondering if anyone know what disk brakes I can use for this car and over all suspension parts I’m planning on drifting
Disk brakes for the rear? You would need an AE86 disk brake rear end which is a great mod as it allows you to have an LSD but they are very expensive. Drums are fine for drifting in my opinion anyway (this car has drums and I won't be changing them).
I would recommend go weber 32/36 help it breath alot better and a adjustable cam gear to help it advance a little better
Looks hard for him to drive with that typical - miles of front track, no rear track, small rear tyre, dumped in the arse "drift setup" which does not belong on AE86s.
Yeah it drove like shit. 14's all round and working brakes would have been a game changer though
A finally sone footage from that event
Awesome job really working for it in the mighty RB, impressive to be hanging with cars with a good bit of power on you.
Thanks mate! At least with less power it's easier to get it to the ground :)
w vid , what do u recommend how to learn your technique at drifting, ur too good
Thanks mate! Drifting is all about practice, I dont think I have much natural talent but I have spent so much time practising I got good. Luckily these days you can also practice by drifting on games like Assetto Corsa which is almost as realistic as the real thing!
Up the 32!
32 best ❤️
I enjoyed the aggressive wheel work
Thanks gorgeous!
camera was tired of doing microphone work that it decided to let go
Yeah I can't blame it. Sound quality is really something I need to get on top off
Jesus christ I remember doing North in the fog and almost killing myself, but higashi at around 120-130km/h? You're nuts lol
It's ok, there's plenty of run off around the track for when you inevitably fall off :)

Has it been converted for unleaded?
Unlikely as it came with a many bottles of lead additive in the boot
Could anyone sell me this engine?
Most people threw them away but I'm sure there's a few in people's garages :)
Where are you located
can ae86 lsd installed into stock ke70 diff... sorry for the stupid question
Not a stupid question! Unfortunately you need a full AE86 diff as nobody makes an lsd for the KE70 diffs
How do you like the super drift coilovers
With the 10/8 springs they are way too stiff! Personally I wouldn't buy them again
I love how Alexi checked the other guy’s car first
Are you running a box with that coil on you’re 4ac?
As in the engine coil?
4ac ftw
alternate title "drifting with corona virus"
Now that would have been smart
What gauge cluster is that above the radio?
Defi Din Gauge - neatest solution by far :)
looked more fun on the inside than the outside
Rude!
I see low km 7AFE corrolas going for ~$1000 every other week, so that's what I'd be doing. You get to test drive the car and make sure the engine is good, you get all the extra stuff you need to run the engine (thermos, relays, wiring, fuel pump etc) and you have a whole car there as reference for HOW to set it all up. A 7AFE has the same power output as the original bigport 4AGE anyway and if you want to make it more rev happy you can always put the 4AGE head on it later. Imo it makes a big difference to have the whole donor car.
That sounds pretty smart actually but I have already invested a lot of dollars into my bigport lol I might have to look at getting one as a spare motor since flogged 4AG's just keep going up in price
That's the only reason I say it - gone are the days when you could pick up a whole running AE82 twin cam, or a fresh 20V straight from wrecked AE101. Nowadays all you can get is other drifters sloppy seconds, and for a premium price too!
Dizzy sticks out too far, u need to maybe use a blacktop dizzy relocation kit or somehow delete the dizzy and use aftermarket engine control
@@H4KD11 Just be a mad dog and cut the rotor and cap off the stock dizzy, there should be enough room too keep the hall effects sensor back there, then run a 1UZ-FE rotor and cap off the cam gear at the front.
Oh yes I've been waiting on this build. would be cool if you turn it into a 10k rpm 150hp but its your build and Im just a 17 year old who likes your content
Haha thanks man! I'll probably rev it to 8500 while the bottom end is stock and build a stronger motor on the side that can go to 9k+ :)

Great aggressive driving!
nice
You switched back to early bro! With that line you were on, I reckon you needed to push up and out to the right a bit further before switching it back to the left, that way you could've really pointed the car into the corner and attacked it. At 7:10 you can see Ben is at the right edge of the road before he swings it back in to the left, where as you're about a car width away from the right edge and after the transition (~7:11) you end up shallower than Ben earlier in the corner - which puts you in a position where you're trying to make the car continue washing-out rather than cutting into the corner. If you want to set up your car to do big gay wash-out drifts like that without straightening you're going to have to do what everyone else does and run big power with knuckles.
Thanks for the detailed response man! I think you are probably right but usually if I switch too early I don't have any concerns about cutting the corner with all 4 wheels lol. I'm certaintly not looking to set it up to wash out don't worry about that. Rather I will set it up so I can accelerate more to keep the car sideways when I am going into a corner (rather than having to use the foot brake to keep it going) and then where I point the wheel it will more or less go. Or at least that is the theory :)
Hey man what are the specs/what have you done n the car? Great driving!
Thanks mate 🙂 The car still has an RB20 but with a power FC it makes 168kw. The suspension is some old Tein coilovers which are pretty much dead. JDI knuckles and 25mm extended Lca's with adjustable castor in the front and adjustable camber and toe in the back. Diff is the standard 4.3 ratio with a Nismo 2 way centre and Sailun 215/45's at the back. Nothing too special!
Such a bummer with the straighten. Better luck at Tailem!
Love your videos
Thanks mate!

Bummer about the hose!
Opening edit was 🔥🔥
Was all downhill from there!
You know I didn't appreciate how good the RB20 sounds until that SR20 started farting directly into your window
Haha good description! TO be fair to the SR the addition of an aftermarket manifold would vastly improve the sound :)
How'd you sort your gearbox in the end?

Nice granny spec. I have a granny spec from my grandma, so second owner and a similar story that she has owned it since new but only 100k when she gave it to me. Unfortunately mine has a crumpled front left from a small bingle she had about a month before passing it on. ;( Also I lol'd at you iniating a drift on the internal camera but then smooth sailing around at about 30km/h. :D Subscribed to your channel to watch the progress.
Wow 100k's would be nice! Pity about the front but I'm sure you can fix it up :) It wasn't actually a drift I initiated though but an understeer lol
